NSV Time!! Do I have a story!

  • Well, to know me is to know that I have a very bad habit of shopping. Not high priced items, but the inability to pass up marked down fitness apparel at places like Target, sporting goods stores, etc. So I literally had bags stashed in my closet of stuff I had bought for "some day." (You know, buying down a size? Anyone with me on this?) So today, I just had enough of myself and decided I was going to go thru all this stuff and sort it and set some order to it. In there were some clearance swimsuits I had bought in Aug/Sep in my usual size. They had gotten discarded in disgust when they looked awful on. I tried them on again just to see how "far" away they were from looking decent and if I should put them in the near or far pile (lol!)

THEY WERE BAGGY IN THE BOTTOMS! I am so not used to having wrinkles in the fabric because there is too much fabric! I am used to having wrinkles because things are stetched too tight! This is great. But, I'll be having some very nice nwt swimsuits to donate to goodwill this spring. That's ok, I can deal with that!!!
  • That's pretty funny that you just plain by-passed your deals! Good job!

  • indeed Fran! I've done that - passed right by sizes in some "saved" clothing - though not with something new, rather an old favorite I'd wanted to get back into. Ha! Better too big than too small though.
  • Great job, Fran!!! That must feel so good!
  • Way to go, how nice to be swimming in your suits. Are you going for the little bitty polka dot bikini next???
  • NEVER. 2 9 lb babies and 2 c/sections have pretty much confirmed that choice for me! I tried to talk the last doc in to a free tuck after the baby was out, but he told me that would be a separate deductible!! lol
  • My SIL and I were talking about that this evening. My doc cleaned up my scar with the third one but he didn't tuck anything
  • That's fantastic! I probably would have been dancing around........

    WAY TO GO!!!
