new here, bfl, replacement parts

I did body for life several years ago, did one challenge and lost 25lbs. since then I had another baby, gained back those 25 and a few friends. I am ready to get back on track, but had some questions. Firstly, we recently moved and I have lost the piece of my weight bench that raises and lowers the bench, i had a generic bench so it is just a metal rod, but wondered how or what I might use to replace that and get my bench back together???
Also, I will probably use the rotation in the bfl book, it is a great place to start, but because I have so much fat to lose, i will do cardio daily most likely. Has anyone read the bfl for women book and the regular one? is there that much difference? I also noticed a workout dvd that was bfl for women, what is the deal with that?
any info would be appreciated.
thanx

Tracy, check out the BFL thread in here; we have a couple who started in April and a whole bunch of us who started May 1 - feel free to join in. On your question with the fat, I would likely not skip the weights, but make sure you are doing max cardio and not just the amount they advise. I would do 45 mins 6 days a week if I were you to get your fat jump started. I saw somewhere the bfl dvd is really good - alot of people were saying it gives you the book workouts in real time so you can check your form.

This book has been discussed on several threads, but basically it's written for women and addresses diet/exercise for the different periods of a woman's life. To me it's not quite as "hard core" as the original. It's written by a woman doctor who recognizes that women's bodies and lives are different than men's. It's good, and to me more "doable" than the original, esp for the long haul. Don't know anything about the DVD though, sorry.

I got the Body for Life for Women book and it is very similar to the Body for Life book except it does concentrate on the changes in women's bodies. I like the DVD, too. You get 10 minutes of upper, 10 minutes of lower, and 10 minutes of cardio. Overall, it's a great way to get started if you're uncertain on what to do for exercise. There is even a segment on the DVD where there are motivational comments for the time that you're on the Body for Life program.

My goodness, I saw the title of this thread and, for some reason, thought it was about doing BfL and needing replacement body parts.... :lol3:
