"The Scale is the Work of the DEVIL!!!

Puzzled...
Saturday, I weight myself and the scale reflected 242 lbs. a +4 lbs weight gain...I was highly upset...the following day, Sunday I weighted myself and the scale reflected a 236 lbs., -2 lbs less than my original weight of 238. Well, I weighted myself this morning and it still reflects the -2 lbs down, from 238 lb to 236 lbs...I am now paranoid...I keep thinking did I really lose -2 lbs or am I going to weight myself again and it reflect 20 lbs weight gain.

Hi Chiari,

This issue has come up before I believe in the maintainers forum. The scale also gives you the water weight you have in you. I measure more if I have eaten pizza. This is not because all of a sudden I have 1 kg pizza weight in my body...it's because I retain water because pizza has a lot of salt.

A lot of people, myself included do not only go by the scale but also by some garment - a pantsometer, a skirtometer, a beltometer..whatever. You can also feel if that is loose or not, and that is much less susceptible to water weight issues.

Cheer up!

Chia -- Choose one or two days/week to weigh yourself... at the same time, preferably in the morning upon awakening, with the same clothing on, preferably with nothing on or something very light on... and don't weigh yourself the rest of the time, because those water fluctuations can drive you ...
