Well I have been around before but unfortunately not for some time. I was doing the eating right and exercising thing and lost some weight and inches, I was to a great start. But I was getting ready for my wedding when I fell off the fitness wagon and and then the eating right thing fell out the window too because of the honey moon and when we came back I had all intentions of restarting and by that time it was August and I figured why bother until September. You know the start of school and new things to come. So I started in September doing my weights 2- 3 days a week at home and walking an hour a day with my new husband. Well for the last two weeks we have had bad weather for walking and of course you know what happened next right? of course the eating was not as clean as it should have been. So here I am and considering to just go back to the gym since if I have to pay for it I will not waste my money. Whenever I paid for a membership in the past I always went.
So of course this brings me to a question for all those who have done the BFL plan: I have done the BFL thing in the past and have had terrific results and had kept it off and maintained it for two years. The problem was that I abandoned my eating well and abandoned my exercise altogether which got me in the mess that I am in now. My question is this.....has anyone out there done the BFL twice, once with results , to gain the weight back and return to it again and have the same success as the first time around? I really want to return to using that prgram since it is easy to follow and familier but I am afraid that i will not have the same results as the first time. Well any and all advice is appreciated.... Jenn |
Jen -- I've never done BFL so can't answer your question -- but I want to say: welcome back! :balloons:

Jen,
I'm not on BFL but definitely welcome back. I would say that it doesn't hurt to try BFL and see what your results will be especially if you think it is for you. Even if you don't have as good of results as you did in the past, any results would be good? |
Hi Jenn  Welcome Back :grouphug: About BFL I did only one challenge by the book, then went to eating 5 meals/day with a carb and protein portion / meal...
Mel -- Thank you for that wonderful compliment on my recent pics... Good luck on your surgery, you will be in my prayers... Today was a very good day at the gym... I did shoulders :strong: and then 3 miles on the :tread:, life is good... Food was good, not excellent, but better than last Friday! TTFN...... |
Jenn,
I do know people who did BFL in the past, abandonned the lifestyle, then returned with spectacular results. You know what worked for you in the past, jump on back and get started! Mel |
I'm doing another challenge with some online friends. Seven days this time. I'm in for 1800 calories intake, three cardio days and three weight days. I don't always do all the days properly but find that I do try harder in order to live up to what I promised. So ... here we go again. I also think it'll help me figure out the maintaining thing.
And Jen? Whether it's BFL or any other plan, I'm guessing that maintaining is equally weird :) Have you done any reading on the maintaining forum? And actually the folks here are amazing at sticking with a 'life plan'. I'm hoping that 'stick-to-it-iveness' is something we can learn. Best of luck to you. |
