I think you need to eat more; if you're only getting 100 grams of protein, it isn't enough. Unless you're quite obese you should get at least 1 gram per pound.
Also on the 6 meals; if you eat every 2.5 hours there is no need to stay up late or get up really early. No one says you have to wait 3 hours in between meals. Edit: I see Cindy addressed the meal timing already :) And I just found your weight and I still say you need much more protein. Maybe not 205 but 175-180. Laura |
Before starting BFL I was on Atkins, and following it pretty closely. The only major change in my diet is ALOT less fat intake, and carbs in a different form.(rice, oatmeal instead of extra brussel sprouts or other type of veggie or berry) Im still drinking coffee (somethings Im just not willing to give up) No chocolate except for the cocoa in my cottage cheese once in a while.
I thought about the season change, and I thought maybe the change in the atmosphere from Isabel, but its the same kind of tired I had when I started Atkins last year. Thankyou everyone for your input and thoughts on this......if it doesnt go away within the next week (after uping my protein intake) I think I had better go see someone about it. Hopefully this next week will give my body more time to adjust to the changes Im putting it thru. You have all be so helpful! Robin |
Hey Robin
I agree with Laura and Karen it could be both an adjustment and not eating enough protein. My other suggestion is that after Atkins you body needs at least 3-4 weeks to get used to the carb levels again. At first you will seem overly full but once your muscle building kicks in you will rev up your metabolism and be hungry for your meals. Give it another week or two and let us know. I wouldn't go and see someone about it just yet.... JC |
