Wow, what a difference a little protein makes. :chin: That could certainly be misinterpreted, eh? No, really... I upped my protein a lot. I still have a bit of the queasies, but I actually have energy! This was the first day I really tried to get the protein to where it should be, and the difference was very marked by about 5 pm.
Meg - Sounds like your preferred mode of eating and mine are similar! Funny you should say what you did about weight and the scale.. I wrote in my journal today that I fight this perpetual fear that fitday is actually lying to me, that in reality I'm eating something like 5000 calories a day, and tomorrow I will wake up weighing 214 again. But I am making progress, and today actually got into the 1500 - 1700 calorie range. For the first time, I might add. And it is scaring me to death. I'll learn. I am so impressed with not only your loss, but your maintenance as well. You are such an inspiration to me! I hope you find a good place for your cranky old kitty - even if it's at the vet's, like you said, at least you know the old girl would be in good hands. And bless you for taking the time to chat with someone who otherwise might have felt ostracized. I know I've been "the fat lady" in the gym, too. It's not a great feeling. Ilene - Congrats on the pants!!! I'm working on comfortably getting into an old pair of shorts ... I can get them on and zipped and buttoned, but I just can't BREATHE! Soon... soon. Thanks for the tips on the eggs... I'll have to give that a try. Tidey - Thank you too, for the egg tips. :D I hope you have a great trip! The closest I've been to Canada (well, other than living next door) was a couple times we crossed the border from AK to go camping and fishing. Oh and the update on daughter dearest... in the last three weeks, she's up 2.5 pounds. But DOWN in inches, 1.5 down on her chest, 2.5 down on her waist!!!, and 1.5 down on her hips! Fantastic! No wonder she's getting those pants zipped! :D Her comment ... "Is that good?" |
hi all! I'm sneaking in early LOL! I'm starting my first BFL challenge tomorrw! Just want to say hi, and say how excited I am about joining everyone here in learning and lifting. I have fallen in love with weights the last two months, I love the feeling of being strong. I hope I enjoy eating claen as much as I like lifting!
