Hey - you two oughta switch your bike seats to something more comfortable

Check out Terry Bicycles for Women at
http://www.terrybicycles.com/Saddles/saddles.lasso

I give their women's saddles VERY high marks. They are exceedingly comfy...with a lifetime guarantee...and the Terry gals are the greatest as far as customer service goes.

They even have a table to help you determine which saddle is the best for you...check 'em out!

Meg, Yes...sometimes, on these long rides, it hurts more to get off and get back on than it does just to STAY on. I am noticing that my tailbone feels better today than after last weeks 22 mile ride.

10K is wonderful! Don't knock yourself. DH and I go far on weekends because we are training for a race we are planning for next year to raise money to create an adoption loan fund through our church. We don't know how long the race will be yet, but we are thinking 25-50 miles -- maybe from here (north of Chicago) to Chicago along the forest preserve trails.

Don't you just love to ride a bike? It makes me feel like a child again. Dh and I were thinking yesterday how this time last year our activity would have been to go to our favorite coffee shop and read. We still enjoy doing that, but mush prefer to be out and riding our bikes.

Peace,
Paula

hey there Paula :D

the bike riding sounds like sooooo much fun !!

about the soreness.......... i've also found that when i do an "active recovery" i feel much better. after an intense legs session i swim some laps (20-30) and then sit in the jacuzzi for a bit. i'm still a bit sore the day after, but not like before , or like the days that i just don't have the time to swim afterwards

i'm really excited to hear that you're doing so well with the weight training. we all started really light and just built up our strength over time........ that's the exciting part ! don't ever feel bad if you're doing something to improve your health ;) just keep at it and worry only about how YOU feel :D

have a great day,
adriana

Thanks for the site Karen, but I already have one of those seats, I finally got one last year and whew what a relief that was... and bike shorts too... and still I get sore, but not as bad as before tho....

I biked yesterday and I was fine so it was just the first initial ride that made me sore , so I'm happy for that....

Later...
