BFL newbie

Hi everyone, I have decided to start the BFL program to kickstart my weight loss. I have been exercising and eating better but had no real focus.:dizzy:

My biggest question is do you need all the shakes and supplements to be able to get the most out of the program or am I able to lose weight without them?

Thanks and I hope to meet some great people to help keep me motivated, goodness knows I will need it!

Hi...
I'm also relatively new to BFL; it's been pretty good to me so far. Personally, I don't think that you'll need shakes or bars or anything like that- they're more for convenience than anything else, really. As for supplements, a multi-vitamin might be beneficial, but that's just my humble opinion!
:)

I'm sure you'll find BFL and this forum great!

Hi Lindsay,

I use a protein shake or two a day for convenience but if you can do six meals without one, more power to you.

I don't know what you mean by "supplements". I supplement with a multivitamin, calcium and Udos. I don't really use much of anything else. During my first challenge I tried creatine and found it to be too yucch to continue (it also made me VERY gassy!)

IMO opinion real food is better, cottage cheese and a fruit or sweet potatoe, go to the recipe sticky here and you'll find lots... or over at L&S for some good recipies...

Later...
