??? about alternating muscle groups

I know you are not supposed to work the same muscle group two days in a row. I do cardio 4 days a week(M,W, F, Sa) I love doing DVDs. I feel like I'm in a class without being in a class. My cardio though sometimes has some strength in them, like resistance bands while walking. I'm taling about DVDs like Walk Away the Pounds.

Also, I want to do some bouts of resistance at the office to relieve some stress throughout my day.

Tues and Thurs are my big strength days.

So my question is, is the strength during my cardio significant enough that I have to consider it when rotating the muscle groups when I train? What about the bouts of training at work in addition to the muscle groups? By bouts, I mean 2 or 3 minutes every couple of hours just for some time away from the computer to relieve some tension.

Thanks for any advice.

I think you are fine.....exercises such as crunches, pushups, or ones using resistance bands are light enough that you can do them daily. But lifting heavy weights is harder on your body, so you need to give it time to repair itself between workouts! I would keep doing what you are doing - the main thing is that you keep listening to your body, and if you are exhausted, then take a break. But otherwise, you don't have much to worry about.

I hope that you're taking a day or two off workouts per week to give your body a break, or you'll end up with injuries, you're body does need time to heal.
