CONGRATS Mel's dd! No easy feat, as didn't it take John Jr. 3 times?

Starting to feel half better. Yesterday I started my lifting but just stopped after 2 body parts bc it just seemed like it was harder than it should have been.

Spent the day on my feet most of the day today. Amazing that I could do that, really, didn't even realize it until I got home and thought about it and was shocked at how easy it seemed. Yea! We'll see how long I can hold up on trick or treating tonite, it's my year to walk. After anwering the door last year and feeling like a jack in the box, I swore to try the walking job this year.

I am so dumm, arrrrgh.
Things did not work out today as planned and I was kinda miserable that I missed my exercise. So I get to the gym at 9:51 pm to find out at the door that they close at 10 pm. (The gym is technically 24/7 except for Friday night and Saturday night but I forgot about the Friday.

Tomato: :hug: Sorry you missed your workout. It must have been a bad feeling to see that the staff was ready to go home when you arrived. I've done this before too but on the other side of the clock. I've shown up at the gym on the weekend an hour or two before they were opened. In my head, if it opens at 5:30am it's always open at 5:30am weekends included. :lol: I know that if I belonged to a place that was 24/7 I wouldn't even consider special times for th weekends either.

Finally, I beginning to feel a little better. I went in for a quick workout yesterday. Light cardio and one set of my usual upper body program and a lot of stretching. I might try to get it in today but we'll see. The weather is really beautiful and I'm thinking it may be best to just be outside.

Fran: I did the walk last night too. Two hours. :faint: It's so much fun here though. We found two haunted garages, two hot dog and juice stands, an outdoor cartoon theatre, and lots of neighborhood friends. Unfortunately we also have a pantry of candy I need to find a way of dealing with too. :chin: I wonder if I can keep that stuff in the garage. :lol:

Good to hear you are feeling better It was one persistant virus!

I redeemed myself. Hit the gym at 8 a.m. and spent a nice hour (10 min warmup on elliptical and the rest upper body BFL workout). I don't know Bill managed to get it done in 20 minutes. :-) I added a few more exercises that I never miss, just for a good measure.

I made myself an omelet using two eggs and some of the egg whites from a carton. This is first time I used the egg whites and the omelet did not taste right. I don't know if it was the spinach, or the egg whites.

I am thinking I will definitely need gloves if I am gonna play with barbells. The area where calluses form is pretty red and raw. Gotta check out the store.

I was hoping for a nice sunny day (it is supposed to be unseasonally warm for a few days and I still have some foliage to take care of (hostas, etc.) but the sun is hidden behind a thick layer of clouds. Maybe later.
