The Body Sculpting Bible for Women

Anyone read this? I bought it today. It seemed to be the most comprehensive book on weight training. I hope it is what I need..:)

I've read it (took it out of the library), used some ideas, and yes, thought it was good. :)

I have it out on loan right now. I really used this when I got started to give me some really good ideas. I more into a complete freeweight workout now, but yes, some of the body weight moves are great. I've heard nothing but positive things about this book, so it's great to add to your personal collection.

Hi Amy!

It was one of the first books that I read when I began strength training. I really liked it. Like Pat, I checked it out from our library. I go back to get it often enough that I'm willing to actually purchase it now.

Happy reading.

I've read it too. Yup, good stuff in there.

Thanks...:) Glad its a good option..SO what else is there..It seems most of the weight training books were for men. Would those be helpful or are there some comprehensive books I could order for women....

Is this by: Hugo A. Rivera? If so I may get it off ebay. :)

I am reading through the book...
Do you all agree with the total body workouts instead of different muscle groups each time..
And I am soooo confused by the nutrition section!;)

I really like the Body for Life foods lists better.

I have done upper/ lower body splits and a four day split. Never a whole body work out.

Let's see what the others have to say.

Hmm..I may have to check out this book as well...
Does it have weight training workouts in it?
Gym style workouts?

I feel that total body workouts are for beginners but I will do a TBWO when I am rushed and I know that I won't have a lot of time to go to the gym in a particular week. As you progress you will probably like the 3 or 4 day splits instead...

Body for Life is a very good beginner workout and food program, worth checking out...
