Default Sharmel Update 08/10)

Sharmel is home for the time being. She was able to come home on a morphine PCA and we push basic fluids at night. She is in alot of pain and her only relief come from laying semi flat in bed. The plan right now is to still do a GI series on monday morning and from there decide on the best course of action. The options right now are 1) Leave things alone and see how it heals over time, this of course will depend on if the diverticuli was burst or just strained. 2) Attempt a stint, this is dependent on if he gets a solid road map and is confident that he can perform it without all the complications from his first attempt. 3) Revision of the RN-Y, which sounds to us to be the most solid and reliable plan. However this will be dependent upon the health of her tissue, health of her system and how exactly it would be done hasn't been discussed. I imagine after all three of us know what we are dealing with, we can sit down and fully explore our options. So for the time being she is home, trying to remain comfortable and get to monday with as little "drama" as possible. If she gets to feeling "spunky" Im certain she will come on and post a message herself. Until then i continue to pass on your thoughts and wishes.

Thanks!

Sharmel. All you have to do right now is stay in that calm place you know really well by now, and get through each moment. Thank goodness for those PDA pumps. It gives optimal control doesn't it?

Keep looking outside Sharmel, and fill yourself with the things you find beauty in. That will sustain you.

We are all focusing as much love and light as there is to shine on you Sharmel, and that is quite limitless in its bounty.

I'm so glad to hear you're home and I hope you find as much comfort as possible between now and Monday.

Sharmel, Prayers daily for you both. We are all hoping for spunky, but your hubby has done an excellent job keeping us in the loop.
