Hi everybody,

Could you guys tell me about your 6 month prep period required by insurance? What did it consist of? Was there a diet to follow? Was it difficult to follow? How often did you have to weigh in with your pcp? If you went through a clinic such as Barix, did they do the 6 month period with you? Do they have their own psychologist and nutritionist and other health care professionals to give you clearance, or did you have to find them on your own? Do you really have to lose a lot of weight prior to getting your approval?

I didn't have to lose any weight before surgery, the only thing my insurance wanted was 6 months of documented doctor supervised diet/weight loss efforts which I had years of LOL.
