Default The Consultation

HI Ladies:
Yesterday was my consultation. It went great! My BMI is 39.9 so In a manner of speaking I'm in good shape. I was the only person signed up for the 1 pm seminar so I spoke one on one with my Dr who is warm personable I was instantly comfortable with him.
and I made him laugh!
he was showing me a diagram and said that it was basically human plumbing I said I hope you'll be wearing better fitting pants!
he promised me I wouldn't see his crack
This guy rocks and he's brilliant
I met the psychologist she was great and the nutritionist they all said I'm a great candidate.
Best part today i called my insurance out of network is a $600 deductible and 70% of the cost
The dr's office already said they take what the insurance gives and thats it!
So I just have to figure out the hospital stay which is in a very upscale part of the city thats a $200 deductible and 90% b/c it's in network
and i don't need the 6 months of medically supervised weightloss.
I'm making progress! and most importantly I'm comfortable with these people
gotta run!
Kierie

Plumber pants and docs...reminds me of a birth story. A friend of mine was working as a labor nurse at a very prestigious teaching hospital. She was caring for a Spanish-speaking couple (my friend is fluent in Spanish) and the baby required a forceps delivery. The first resident came in and couldn't get the baby out, so the next one came in. Couldn't get the baby out. The attending came in with sloppy scrubs that drifted down and showed his crack to all of God's creation. He had many years of experience and did a beautiful forceps birth. Later the baby's father was speaking in Spanish on the phone to a family member. He said, "The doctors couldn't get the baby out, but then the janitor came in and did the job."
