Default Last Question I promis

Ok so as of Tomorrow I'm 6 months Post op YAY! I have a question
Do you tastes still change? Up until the weekend I could eat a small amount of mayonaise (ie tuna salad where you can actually tell you're eating tuna versus sortof beige stuff in mayo) Over the weekend we went to Lambertville and I had a half sandwich that came with raspberry mayo. I got sick to my stomach. Fast fwd to Monday I had the same tuna I've been eating from the caf since the beginning of lent. (it wasnt' friday but I felt like being meatless) last friday when I had it no problem Monday I was Sick to my stomach for HOURS nausea no vomitting. Are my tastes still supposed to be chnaging?
Thanks
Kier

yes - your tastes do indeed change. it's the joys of this surgery - what works one day will not work the next, and vice versa. for me, mayo was just not on my 'can eat' list. and even now, it's kind of 'iffy'

however, i gotta wonder - are you SURE the tuna you ate on monday was fresh and not leftover from friday????

I'm wondering..... I don't know what type of surgery you had, but did the bread just plain get stuck? I had some carrots do that and thought I would die from the nausea!!

actually i didn't eat the bread. . .I think it was just the fattyness of the mayo b/c now I can feel the difference in the feeling in my digestive track when I eat something fatty/lowfat/nonfat and it feels similar . . .although when I begin to get that feeling I stop eating immediately
