DrPhil-Gastric Bypass-Fri

Dr. Phil has never been in your shoes, so he should not have made such a harsh statement.

GBS scares me to no end. I think anyone that has it is a very brave person and I understand why some one would have it done. I really do, I have thought about it many times. There are many great successes and many scary outcomes. Its something that should not be handed out like candy (for lack of a better word). I think doctors are to free with it these days, but thats JMHO. And I'm not saying that any of you should not have had it... no, by no means am I saying it. You all know me and know where I'm coming from. It just takes away from the seriousness of it all.

My friend here at work has had 3 family members undergo GBS. Her brother did fantastic w/it, no problems. Her SIL had it 8 months ago and still can't eat w/out severe stomach pains and they still can't find out why, and then there's her Cousin who died during surgery...sigh.

I hope his show is very informative to folks who are having a hard time understanding it.

    HUGS TO YOU !!!
  • I'm going to have to watch it. It will be interesting to see what he has to say. I have a feeling, since he is going to have Carnie Wilson on, that it will be a positive show. I'm hoping so anyway. Surely he wouldn't be rude about it to someone who has had the proceedure already. Thanks for posting about this. This is one that I definately wouldn't want to miss.
  • Pookie tell me all about the show. I would love to watch it but I'm here at work I should have set my vhs to record it DUH!!!!
