Default EEK Here we go!!!!

I came on here to post about my upcoming surgery and saw Kryssie's post... Her title voiced my feelings exactly!!!! I'm just trying to work out some nerves, so I apologize if this isn't too exciting. I read somewhere how the person who had surgery had little 2 oz cups for their food afterwards. Where do you get these, does anyone know? I have one last class this Monday, and my surgery is Wednesday, so I'm just starting to get nervous about portion sizes, etc. Like if it's important to measure exact or if you listen to your little tiny tummy (I hate calling it a pouch.) I feel like I should know this because of all the research and huge piles of info I've had to go through, but the tiny details are worrying.

Luckily I had a dream this week that made me feel so much better. For 3 days I didn't feel anxious at all! Unfortunately my over analytical mind has kicked back in and I am scared again. My husband promised me I won't die so I am just trusting him Anyway, in the dream, I had just woken up from surgery. I wasn't in any pain at all, I just felt funny because I knew my insides were all "rearranged." Then, I got out of bed and began to walk around with no problems, no pain or anything. For some reason this dream made me feel very comforted and positive! Let's hope it really goes that smoothly, eh???

LOL!!! yes, let's hope. but darlin ,the truth is that it WILL hurt to one degree or another.

but it will stop.

as for the two oz cups... you can use a tablespoon measure... you're looking for about 2 tablespoons of food. as a guide, your new tiny tummy will TELL you when you've had enough. at first, though, measure your two tablespoons, and then pay REAL CLOSE ATTENTION to how you feel... how full... all the sensations. and then you'll KNOW what the 2 tbs limit feels like and you'll be well on your way to portion control...

keep us posted!!
