I went shopping today and bought ALL of my clothes in the Misses section! Very strange experience and a bit overwhelming! I bought 3 shirts and finally found some 5 pocket jeans that I like. one black and one dark denim. Lee slim fit.
Dh was SHOCKED to see me in clothes that fit!!! He said, "you have a figure!" Pretty high praise from him!!!! (then of course he wanted to see the bill )
Since I am not used to wearing pants in any other color than black, I have to ask...what kind and what color shoes do you wear with denim jeans?
The Misses Section? Not an X in sight? That is so freakin' cool Ms. Peach.
Of course, I have no clue what the proper shoes are for your outfits, because I'm a fashion drop out. If it ain't Tevas, tennis shoes or comfy slip-on clogs, my feet won't go near them. Maybe now that you're so much smaller you can wear some heels. I've always heard about you Joisy girls wearing major heelage. Big hair and big heels, right?
Here's another idea - do you watch TLC's "What Not To Wear"? We'll get you set up on that program and they can give you $5,000 and bully you into correct clothing.
Peachie, congratulations, that is MAJORLY COOL! I am so pleased for you. Not unlike Chickadee though, unless it is sneakers or dock shoes, I am clueless! Oh yeah, or boots! THANK goodness I'm not from Joisey, I couldn't possibly wear heels and don't have enough even for little hair, let alone big! Another place to be an outcast... There is a program where they tell you what to wear? I am SO there!
Peachy That is great, I share the feeling, as my daughter and I ended up buying my jeans in the misses section too, the sales person was upset that I took 5 sizes in to see which one fit. It has been many years since I bought jeans with a zipper and not elastic waist. Mine were LEES too! a size 16 even.
Now I can start to shop in my daughters closets. OH guess she better not be home when I do that!
Shoes and coats just aren't my thing. I am ignorant in this realm. I would like a pair of really cool boots though! I have a couple of pairs from the '80's but I am afraid of looking too 80's!!!! I think I SHOULD go on that program "what not to wear!" LOVE that show but I do know it would be agony and way out of my comfort level.
Thanks for you kind words chickies...it was a very very fun experience, but as I told Jiff on the phone I only shopped one side of the misses aisle...I think I would have gotten way overwhelmed if I had tried to do both sides.
Go to www.Zappos.com, they have a ton of shoes, you have a year to retun them unworn and usually you get stuff overnight. You can look for Tivas, but I presonally like the born brand. I like a shoe vs a sneaker....
