Question Ok guys, I need your widsom and advice!

Ok, I am almost 4 weeks out. I lost 25 lbs. the first week and now the scale has not moved another inch SINCE! I'm at my wits end! I'm drinking my water, eating as I should, getting all my protein in but I don't understand why I'm not losing!! Don't get me wrong, I''m grateful to have lost the 25, but surely I can lose more???

Dixie, sweetie, don't be at your wits end. HONEST! Your body just needs a bit of rest and a period of adjustment to catch up. Don't panic, just keep doing what you are doing and your weight will come off. promise. I think that it is common for us WLS people to hit a period where are body's say, "hey! what the heck is going on, here?" I think I hit my first panic of not losing at two weeks out. It stinks but the scale will move soon!!! Don't fret.....

it is ok!

Default Don't worry

Hi Dixie!

I myself did not have the bypass but my bestfriend did. And I swear.....Its normal. Your body has alot of adjusting and healing to do. The most important thing you can do is just relax, and do as your doctor says. The weight will come off just like Peach said.

I went with my friend to her pre-bypass meetings, met with her nutritionist and doctors. I learned alot. But mostly by following her and watching her. She has said one of the best things for her is going to her montly meetings and having a buddy that had gone through this a few years back....everytime she has a concern she checks in with her buddy.

So, I'm sure these lovely ladies will be happy to help you on your way. Remember......Relax.....take care of yourself...
and you will be just fine honey.

Good luck and I'll be sending happy, healthy good wishes your way!!!!!!

P.S. I'm really glad to hear your getting your protein. That is really important. I'm really proud of you.

Thanks for all the wisdom, guys! I hopped up on the scale yesterday and had a 2lb. loss. I was so happy! I also had a check up with my nutritionist yesterday and he said all is completely normal. But man, why'd my body have to trick me like that????
