Holy Toledo!!!!! Stilltrying! You know, when I first read your post I kept looking at the word perseverating and I scratched my head and thought..."now there's a word you don't see often on the boards". And you seemed so familiar! How the heck have you been?

For those of you who don't know, years ago I was having a ton of trouble understanding my son who is an asperger, pdd, adhd kid. Stilltrying sent me numerous informative and extremely kind e mails that helped me and my family enormously. I am pretty sure that she was the first one who told me that the whole experience was not an exact science and that although I could get a diagnoses of the whole alphabet my kid would still be unique. I still have those e mails...they are in a folder...of course I don't know where the folder is but it is somewhere safe 'cause they meant alot to me!

ps...yes, he does very much make me smile. He's got 4 whompin pieces of bubble gum in his mouth and is working on the perfect bubble! AND...I remember that you liked the word "quirky" when descibing him....he is still that and more!

Ok, now Peachie, you PROMISED you cannot see me at my computer, so I'm counting on that. I'm blushing and grinning and yes, Jiff, I DEFINITELY feel better. Actually, I sent PMs (that's Private Messages, NOT PMS, which is something I am sure you do not need and I am no longer in a position to offer) to both of you, to explain my bizarre behavior of today. Of course, my knowledge of things Psy. is not equaled by my ability with things that require technical aptitude, so I just sent them on and crossed my fingers.

Thank you for the cheer upper. As you know, there is no Dx. that I enjoy more than the one that brings you laughter, joy and a new of looking at things, every day. :)

What makes me happy:
Seeing the scale go down, my grandson's smile, his kisses and soft comments. Fitting into smaller size clothes, and my head swells with the compliments of how good I look, and keep it up! I to am happy when I go to this web site.
still trying, seems you have met up with some old friends, I too feel like even though I never met any of these ladies or gentlemen, that they are friends I hope to know for a long time
What makes me happiest, knowing I can still be the same person, even after having surgery. No depression here!

Stilltrying: I am so glad that you looked up these guys from the old low carb board. They are the best, aren't they? I'm not a WLS either (HA - I'm not really a low carber either currently) but I keep tabs on them and post once and a while. I am truely so thankful that the internet was invented that we could make such wonderful friendships and I could add these beautiful souls to my circle of people that I REALLY care about.

Now THAT is something that makes ME happy!

Dear DB and Kel, you are so right! I have not stopped smiling for hours! This is even more amazing when you look at the time! Being up at 3 a.m. would normally make me, well, let's just say NOT smile...Such a lovely reunion though, who could be cranky under these circumstances? I say that now, but wait until somebody actually tries to talk to me! Good thing DH is so good natured.

Can I say that sparkly jewlery makes me smile too on top of all the things you have all said? or is that just too materialistic?
