Default new year's resolve?

sooooo. how did the holidays go? how much weight was gained? [i put on 3-4 pounds. not bad all things considered]. where did we do well? not so well?

i should have stayed out of the chocolate a bit better... and the carbs. gotta watch the carbs. i've decided i'm happier taking my carbs as chocolate and the occasional cookie rather than as bread, potatoes, rice, pasta. except for the whole grain melba toast rounds. they're good!!!

and emotional eating? not an issue this time around. thank goodness. and NO it wasn't because my family had changed!!!!! miracles CAN happen... in theory.

exercise was pretty good. lots of hiking and walking. no weights, however. but i'm back on track with that too, as of this weekend.

my goals for the new year: plastic surgery... legs butt belly. at least. should be interesting!!!!

Hey Jiff!

What's shakin and bakin? Don't say lamb shanks, ok

I thought the holidays were great. BUT food wise I found out that I can eat chocolate and quite a bit of it too without feeling too badly....except for the guilt!

Food is back to being an issue for me and I am finding that perhaps my free ride is over. I get hungry and I WANT to eat. ALOT>>>>> although ALOT now is not nearly what it used to be.

I didn't gain any weight, in fact I may have lost a few pounds but I feel like I don't have the control that I used to have. Sooooooooooo I am sipping a protein drink and trying to reign myself in. contemplating the dreaded "e" thing. ugh.

I want my pouch to shrink.

how is everyone else doing?

I did okay. I did eat a few more carbs than I should have, and they were all dinner. No snacks, or desserts. Remember I was the one who brought diet pudding to the family christmas dinner, and had several takers!
I would like spring to get here, in the midwest. I hate walking in the cold weather. I do use my indoor gym, a few times a week, but it is not the same as getting out there to walk.

Peachy, how long ago did you have surgery? Sounds like you need to watch that intake. Easier said than done, I know! Don't we all!!!

Hey Ditzy Blonde! I'll be 5 months out on January 11th. Down 72 pounds so far.

But yes, lately I am eating too many bad for me carbs, but I think that BOB just kicked my fluffy butt for good though.

I forget how far out you are. Catch me up when you get a chance, ok?

Jiff, you gonna get me a spring form pan or a dutch oven? Your so sweet.

Jiff I would suggest you give peachie a KitchenAid for her upcoming birthday, but you already did

I ate like a little oink, oink over the holidays, but still managed to lose a couple of pounds. How did that happen?

Peachy
I am 8 weeks out and down 55 lbs. I had about 8 days without any weight loss, and was begining to get worried. But suddenly 5 lbs disappeared! Cool!

I do eat some carbs, low carb bread. I figure I want a diet I can live with for a lifetime. I usually get around 800-900 calories a day. My doctor diet plan allows for carbs daily. And so far it's working! What I don't want to do is loose this weight and gain it back. My doctor assures me this is the plan I should remain on. Weight loss will remain off if I continue to follow this plan.
