Default What did you eat for dinner last night?

Just curious It's probably something everyone that contemplates wls wonders about.

So, if you don't mind, tell me what you ate for dinner last night, and also tell me how long it's been since your surgery, to give us something to go by

Thanks!!

Suzanne,

last night's dinner was less than successful. I ate some chicken (thigh because it is juicier) and it got stuck and hurt and came up. I think I did not chew it well enough and ate too fast.

Today looks like this:

b...protein drink

l ...I bought a salad from mc donalds. took out the chicken minced it till it was tiny and then put in some of the lettuce. I chewed each bite alot. Maybe a bit more than a 1/2 cup of "stuff"

s ham and cheese rollup

d...tuna salad (home made) with some more of the mc donald's salad lettuce

s...protein drink (I have to force this one down or jiff will scream)

I am about 7 weeks out.

Early on and at about Amy's stage progresso chickerina (sp) soup was great. I had to pick out the little meat balls but they are extremely soft, so are the veggies. I saved the broth for another time and threw out the little bits of pasta. Cottage cheese was good but it makes me break out in big whompin zits. (was that too much info?) Soft cheeses were fine and some finely sliced deli turkey with a bit of mayo worked too. The mayo helped it to slide down. I don't think I could have gotten it down with out a bit of mayo.

hope this helps.

hmmm. now, remember that i'm more than 18 months out...

dinner was at a restaurant last night. i had a small salad with romaine, shredded carrots, cucumber, chick peas, a couple of croutons and 4-5 black olives. and steak [about 3 oz]. and some rice [maybe 2 tbs]. and 1/2 glass of wine. oh and 6 of mom's french fries.

i promise... it'll get better. i threw up a couple of times a day for more than a month. it passes.

peachie: YOU NEED MORE PROTEIN, ESPECIALLY IN THE MORNING!!!!
