Today's the day!
I'm going in this morning to meet with the surgeon for the first time. DH is taking some time off from work to go with me; he plans to go through it all with me. (I don't mean that he's having the surgery too; it's just that he understands how major this is and doesn't want me having to do it alone. How sweet is that?) The receptionist who scheduled the appointment told me that the consultation lasts about and hour, and then he schedules the surgery at the end of the appointment! I know that there is a bunch of stuff that has to be done between now and then, tests and so forth, so I don't know if that's really how he does it, or if the receptionist was mistaken. Anyway, I'm getting excited to talk to the surgeon!
