  • I found the Unjury website & ordered their sample packets combo. I think it included the chicken soup as well as the shake mixes. I'll update when they arrive next week.
  • Also with the chicken soup packet, they send along a food thermometer to check the temp of the water before putting in the chicken soup protein powder to ensure the hot water doesn't negatively impact the protein mix.
  • Quote: I don't have any info on almond or soy milk, I only drink fat free moo milk. As for the protein powder the brand I am using right now is Magnum Nutraceuticals Inc Quattro and the flavour is Chocolate Love. I almost always get chocolate and I never get tired of it. Anyway this brand has 137 cals per scoop, 1 gram of fat, 2 gram of carbohydrates and 30 grams of chocolate. It is kind of expensive up here in the great white north but it might be cheaper in the USA. The Walmarts here carry a couple of decent brands Six Star is one of them, the calories are a little higher because the carbs are a bit more. I find the more expensive brands have more protein and less carbs, I expect that it costs more to manufacture with high grams of protein. I don't really know that is just a guess. But still if $$ is a problem its only 30 more calories a scoop which in the grand scheme of things isn't all that much. My husband likes the six star strawberry, I like any of the chocolate flavours but not so much for peanut butter or chocolate peanut butter. Cookies and cream is usually good. I haven't found a vanilla protein powder that didn't make me gag. As for the bars I buy Pure Protein which is at Walmart and the price is decent. Again pricewise the more expensive bars are more protein, less carbs. Pure Protein bars are 180 cals, 4.5 gram of fat, 17 gram carbs and 21 grams of protein ( the chocolate deluxe version). Overall I'd rather have a shake than a bar but sometimes I just need to chew something.
I am not being critical, just curious. Did you mean 30 gm protein, not chocolate? I did not have surgery, but I am interested in trying protein shakes, so that's why I'm asking.

  • LOL Thank you, Jiffypop. Now I know what to look for on the label!
  • I love, love, love chocolate Premier Protein shakes. (30 gr. protein each) In my area, they can be found only at SAMs clubs. To change them up a bit, I add an Almond Joy creamer pod to them once in awhile. Delish!
  • almond joy creamer????? WHAT have I been missing by not being a coffee drinker??? sounds YUMMY!!!!!
  • oh my goodness....that sounds so good but where do you get the Almond Joy creamer? Is it powder or liquid? I too like the premier but sometimes I got to change it up a bit.
  • UPDATE: My Unujury protein sample packets just arrived this a.m. via UPS. Will post info after trying them this p.m. :~)
  • The almond joy is a liquid creamer. I haven't seen it in powder where I work. I think they have a mounds liquid creamer to.
  • I eat pure protein bars regularly. Not as big of a fan of shakes. Like Nectar Lemonade and Usopure Chocolate.
  • Review Of Unjury Protein Shakes:

    - Chocolate Very Good
    - Strawberry Sorbet leaves alot to be desired if mixed with milk/almond milk. Would probably be better mixed with lemonade and/or crystal light.

SnowAngel, what brand of creamer has the Almond Joy & Mounds?

    Thx, FitMomma for the recommendations!!
  • International Delights has almond joy. They have york peppermint patty flavor to.

Coffee mate has three girl scouts flavors.
  • You can find the Almond Joy creamer at Walmart, where all the other coffee creamers are located. Thanks for the heads up about the peppermint Patty flavor, and the cookie flavors. I like to try new flavors in my shakes.
