  • patty.... my surgeon wants everyone to be out of work for 4-6 weeks, but some went back after a week. with no ill effects, i might add. but they were in a position that they could pretty much come and go, and they weren't on their feet lecturing to a whole bunch of squirmy kids.

    i was cleared to go look for a job after 6 weeks [my company folded while i was on disability before the surgery, so by the time the surgery was scheduled, i was unemployed, and had to buy health insurance on my own. ick!]. i was so very sick going into the surgery that i just wasn't up for the effort until i'd lost some weight. adn at that point, let's see.. i think i'd lost about 50 pounds in 6 weeks. it made a real big difference in my mobility.

    ask anything!!!! we can handle it!!! honest!!
