  • I have a pretty open mind, my goal for now until my next appt at the end of July with my surgeon is to get to where I am doing 40 mins workout and 5 mins each warm up and cool down/stretch five times a week with general walking and moving on the weekends for a break.
I have such bad arthritis that more then 40 mins and my knees start to lock up and click really badly, I do a lot of strait legged exercises in the water and when i bend my knees it is slower and smoother than some of the exercises might call for but I AM moving and in general I am proud and happy I am doing it, I just wish I had done it more while I was losing weight on my own, I probably would have lost more than 52 pounds before surgery and been in better shape physically afterwards. I do a lot of abdominal exercises as well in the pool since those muscles have always been week on me and walking doesn't really effect them as much.
  • Spooks: If I remember right, your knees are bad. So, water exercise is excellent for you. Takes the load off of your knees. I don't know that exercise for me has gotten any easier, because my bones and joints are so messed up because of heredity and morbid obesity, but so necessary for WL maintenance and heart health.
