HERE I AM !!! LOL sorry, life calls
Congrats Linda and Welcome to Bandland.
Right now b/c of the surgery you are all swollen inside, thats probably why your not hungry, but you will be as you heal up. Just make sure you are drinking lots of water and try to get in some vitamins.
I too was on liquids (clear) for 2 weeks, then 1 week thicker liquids, then 1 week mushies then on to regular food my 5th week. Make sure you follow your doctors guidelines so you don't hurt yourself...no matter how hungry you get AND be careful with your exercise, you don't want to rip anything inside at this point (or ever really lol). The first 6 weeks with the band is not about weight loss, its about healing, so if you lose weight during this time WONDERFUL, if you don't... please don't get upset...this is NORMAL
At or about the 6th week, your doctor will allow you to start exercising and will start with the fills. If your band is a 4 cc, he'll prob start with 1 cc and then every visit after that he'll put in 1/4 cc.. until you hit your sweet spot. Please remember SLOW IS GOOD!!! you don't want an over fill because that can hurt LOL. Also remember, the band does not work with out the proper fill, so don't get frustrated, just keep plugging along.
With the band, weight loss is slow 1 - 2 lbs a week, and remember its not a race, you will succeed !!!
Hope this helps... any questions, don't be afraid to ask.
