Default First time sick since WLS

K, need to whine a little. This is the first time I have gotten sick since surgery and I feel like it is kicking my butt. I started with a sore throat and sinus drainage and it moved into a full cold almost a week later. Of course after I already saw both docs for my 3 month check up! I even called off work today and stayed in my hotel room and slept all day. After I went out and got some more dayquil and nightquil. I know they have surger in them but my system is tolerating it all okay.

Does anyone else find it harder to beat a cold or illness since WLS? I know they just did my blood work and all was well with in normal, so maybe its just a nasty bug! Which is tring to move into my chest !!

Thanks for listening

Default Oh No!

I'm sorry your are sick, but honestly, I have hardly had any illness since I have had WLS. There is some kind of flu thing going around, because my nephew and a few kids his age have had high fevers and a cough. My little granddaughter started with a temp this morning of 100 and now it is around 103. So, SIGH, I'm not going to be able to take her for a few days as planned. DARN IT!!! Her dad is sick and they seem to think they got it from the pool on Sunday; he is hoarse and sinus trouble. Talked with a woman at Walmart today with the cutiest 6 mos old baby and they took the baby to the doctor for fever and cold like symptoms. So something is really going around!! Hope you get well soon. I order a shot of whiskey and ASA. But, I think you might have gotten that with the Ny-quil!!! Take care my girl. Love ya.

I had the FLU just a few weeks after sugery! That was the weirdest flu I have ever had. I don't know if it was because I was only weeks out or because that is the way I will have the flu from now on...in anycase it was caca!

I'm sorry you were feeling poorly, honey.

Default Summer Flu?

Little GD was finally taken to urgent care and had bilateral ear infections and viral pink eye. I guess she is pretty miserable but on the mend. Mistymed, hope you little angel is doing better. This is why I could never work on the pediatric ward, I hate it when little kids are sick.
