Unhappy Problems...

I've been having a lot of problems with binge eating. I am 3 years out now, I've gained 40 pounds back from my happy weight of 124 . It's making me really sad which makes me really hungry. I think, no, I know my pouch has expanded because I can eat a lot more than I should. Is there any way to shrink my pouch back? Has anyone else had this problem? How have you stopped the binge eating I am desperate!

wow. a lot of issues in those few sentences ya wrote, becky! and this isn't gonna be fixed in a day or two.

here's what i suggest thinking about: the binging. and part of that is strict portion control and eating at set times. or at least on a schedule. and frankly, the only way i managed to live with/deal with the emotional issues is through counseling -

it's hard - nothing will fix it overnight. i'd love to write more, but i gotta get back to work.

we're with ya, babe!!!!

I would like to encourage you to get counseling. It was a tremendous tool to get to the reasons why I was eating in a destructive way. Binging is a double edged sword, isn't it...helps and hurts in one fell swoop? My issues revolved around an extensive abuse history that needed to be delt with...I am glad I did! My way out was to delve inward, take my power back.

Jiffy's right, it will take time...but the time it takes to get to a healthy attitude about food and living well only starts ticking down when you start the process.

WLS is a gift, don't let it slip away...take control of your destiny and call someone in your area.
