Default Just this and that

Getting a new lifestyle going for DH has been interesting. I'm trying real hard to make sure that he is never really hungry so that he won't overeat!!! HEEE!! LOL!!!! GIGGLE, GIGGLE, GIGGLE!!! We went to hour first Heart Smart Eating seminar and he had Silk chocolate soy milk, yogart with two TBSP of flaxseed, two flaxseed muffins, and SF applesauce. Then, we went out to supper!!! We went to Ryan's Steak House and they wouldn't honor my WLS card and so it was total waste of money to me! Will have to work on the old boy a little at a time I guess. I'm trying to remember how hard it has always been for me to change up and lessen my proportions. YIKES!!

Now, about elastic waist pants: When I was wearing 32s everything I own had elastic waistband. Now that I'm in 16s there are two buttons, zippers, snaps and hooks. When you have been pulling your britches down in a hurry with elastic waist band no problem, but the other day GD was doddling in the restroom and I was more than ready. She finally finished her business and then it was my turn. I forgot that I had a button, a hook, a zipper, and a hernia belt that had slipped down. I barely made it and my GD announced to everyone in the restroom, "Nanny, don't pee your pants in town, because we don't have any extra underwear here!" Everyone was quiet and then the giggling started. Lesson learned: I go first!!! She is young and has a good bladder.

I'm enjoying the bathing suit thing immensely!! NOT!! Imagine putting a bathing suit on a wobbling-quivering eggplant and you can imagine my dilema!! Enough said. My nieces just love playing with the flab on the back of my arms!! But, they give such good hand massages, I let it pass!! LOL!

Hope everyone is doing well and staying on track. I had a problem with banana oat bran brownies this morning. Was kind of surprised at myself. Not a good choice.

SUGAR ALCOHOL IS THE DEVIL!! I got my DH a SF chocolate pie and decided that if it was like SF pudding no problem. I was up at 1:00 a.m. till 4:30 a.m. is such misery; fell asleep on the comode only to be JOLTED awake. I couldn't figure out what the heck was going on and went back over my food diary and decided I'd better look at the NUT info on the pie. 1/8 of pie had 27 gm of sugar alcohol!!! I never dreamed. There should have been a surgeon general's warning on that stuff. I had such a pinch in my side, I swore my bowel was ruptured. READ BEFORE YOU EAT!!! My brain must have been on vacation on that one.

You all have a good weekend. I need to go walk and drink.

i just LOVE your posts - and a couple of ideas for dealing with restaurants who won't let you order smaller portions -

order an appetizer and a side salad OR, order something you really LOVE, and that will re-heat well, and take home what you don't eat.

more later, i hope.
