I'm an avid reader and not enough exerciser!!! So during one of my Goodwill safaris, my little granddaughter found a three wheeled toddler stroller that I have seen people jog with pushing their kids. So, I bought it because in order for me to get up a head of steam when I'm walking I need to push myself and you can't do it when you have a 3 y/o walking with you who has to stop at the library, get a lolly, and rest and watch for semis (semis fascinate her) and has two inch legs. LOL!! This month's Family Circle has a Quick-Start Walking Plan that I'm going to modify for myself and this three wheeled stroller and granddaughter. I get grands at 6:00 a.m. and they leave around 5:30 p.m. and that doesn't leave me a whole lot of time after chores and DH's supper. Dang it now I don't have and excuse not too!!! I do have an excuse for not riding the stationary bike as much; I now have a tailbone. And that thing just kills me on the bike. So cross your fingers and toes and pray this old girl can get herself ramped up!!!

Let me tell you if I can do it...YOU CAN DO IT!! I am pitiful and out of shape and non-graceful and I go to the gym and walk on the treadmill and I LOVE IT!!

I bet your granddaughter will LOVE this. It will be something that she'll probably look forward to and will become part of not only your routine but hers and you will be setting a wonderful examply for her.

So....GO!!GO!!!GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

That is great! I am sure that she will love spending the time with you out walking. My son is 10 months old and he loves his outdoor time in the stroller. On the weekends, I want to start taking my son and his stroller to this bike bath that takes you out in the country. He loves every thing dealing with nature. I sometimes let my son have his little walking time also. He loves picking up leaves!

Good for you Nancy! I agree that your grandaughter is going to love to spend time with you as you get out and walk! I always say to adults, "you are building the memories of the children in your life, they could be bad or good memories!" I will bet that this will be a Great memory!

It was a beautiful day and the jogger stroller did well, and the GD was thrilled. Only thing she kept asking me to stop and get her a "horse apple"! Little inside Amish joke. Thanks for all of the encouragement. I've got to get my heart rate up more. I don't have good lung power!!! I was able to squat today and get something out of the back of my cupboard. Now that is a major, major accomplishment. Usually drag a chair over, slide down the chair, scoot on my butt to the cupboard, wiggle around and then pull myself back up the chair. These little things mean more to me than I can say. I don't have to burden my family to do the little mundane things!!! My big grandkids always ask me when they come over if they can get me anything in the back of the cupboard before I get started cooking. Well, I have a big surprise for them!!!! LOL!!
