Default Stuck and don't know what to do. Any advice?

Hey ladies,

7 months have passed since my WLS and I have lost almost 35 kg. The thing is I have started to stuck at the same weight. Thing is that after my WLS I decided to turn my life all over considering where eating habits are conserned. I am always careful on what I eat, I even visited a nutritionist and I swim at least for 40 minutes 3 times a week.

But I am stucked for the past 2 months and nothing budges. My nutritionist says this is probably an outcome of the massive weight loss, in addition to my current high stress levels (I lost my job 2 months ago due to budget cuts and I am practically at loss on what to do about it, since even though I am qualified and have a reference letter from my previous job the job market in my place is very bad right now).

I want to mostly ask you if you have this problem when stressed, or if you went into plateau after the weight-loss and how soon your weight loss resumed. I am awfully scared I am going to regain the weight or not lose the rest of my weight, which gets me so frustrated.

This happened to me several times. During the first year my mother passed away and then my brother...so yes, I know how it is to try and lose weight under stress. My weight loss slowed down but I continued to lose it.

To help break a plateau, try upping the amount of water you drink, changing up your exercise routine...try a stationary bike for a half hour on top of your swimming or instead of it. Try lifting light weights to help build muscle. This will increase your metabolism.

Most of all, be kind to yourself....don't give up on taking good care of yourself, eat well, exercise, and find gratitude for what you have lost and do have. Find the positive in all situations...even a break in your job history can have a positive...um....more time to plan good meals, that sort of thing..and as a very great friend and mentor told me every time I came to her with a worry...."This too, shall pass."

Angela :hugs:
