I would totally GO!!! I love chocolate and I see those chocolate buffet things on the food network. I always promised myself that If I came across one, I would go. You dont have to go overboard on those things, but I wouldnt deprive myself either. Just eat good, all week and exercise your booty off lol.

Let us know what you decide to do!!

I personally would never be able to be committed to my plan if I knew that I'd have to turn down life's little special events. The thing is - this isn't a diet, its a lifestyle change, and it isn't realistic to live the rest of your life without treats. So savor every minute of this very special event, and stay on-plan the rest of the time...I guarantee that if you return back to plan right after, this is NOT going to have a big effect on your weight loss journey. After all, even if you ate 3500 calories worth of chocolate over what you burn in an average day, which would be EXTREME for sure, you'd only gain a pound.

Go forth and enjoy!

Saying we would not do the chocolate thingie is not saying we have to turn down life's little special events. She asked if WE would do it... some of us said yes and some said no. If pigging out on chocolate is worth it to someone, hey go for it! But to ME it would not be.

Didn't try to come off as standoffish - my post began with "Personally". Personally, I would do it, and was just sharing my reasons why.

Sorry if it came across as attacking, that wasn't how it was meant.

Well.... I mean she doesn't have to "pig" out! She could chose a few pieces and eat them elegantly,..... I know it's a BUFFET but you could enjoy the chocolate without "getting more for your money" sort of deal...

FWIW, I dion't think your post sounded standoffish or attacking at all. I thought it was a well written opinion.

Well... ummm... I didn't think it was attacking either but my response seems to have been taken as if I thought it was. My apologies it so. Arggh sometimes the "joys" of cybercommunication.

LOL - I worry so much about offending people that sometimes I apologize when I'm not even sure if they're upset - cybercommunication has scared me off!

Well, you've both managed to offend me. So there.

LOL well that is the way my week has gone so far all around! I am about ready to crawl into bed and stay there! But I suppose that would not be a very good excuse to give my boss for missing work, huh?
