Default Weight - Height

Where is the best place to find out what weight you are supposed to be for your height?

That is an interesting site! I plugged in my high weight of 195 and other people at that weight thought that a good goal was 155 (150 was MY original goal weight!).

Then, I entered my current weight of 127 and people at my current weight have an ideal goal of 128. Just how interesting how current weight influences ideal weight goals!

I like how the calculator showed a contrast between "people goals" and "medical goals."

dude, I plugged in my weight (110) and it spit out 110. I thought that was a tad bit odd, so I plugged in 115 and it churned out 112. I don't really know what it tells me.

The calculator has two sections.

The first section is what OTHER people the same weight as you think their ideal weight should be.

The second section below lists the medical recommendations for weight for someone of your age, height and gender.

So, the first section is telling you that people who weigh 110 think their goal weight should be 110. People who weigh 115 think their goal weight should be 112.

Yes, I find the psychological aspect very interesting. When I was 385# I thought 285# would be a reasonable weight, and the "people's choice" calculator came up with 287#. I plug in 285# and I come up with 237#, which is very close to my current goal weight.

that was interesting, thanks. I put in 154 my current weight and came up with 141 which is a little lower than the 145 that I have set as my goal. I will stick to the 145 and see what happens. bmI is now 24.1 so i'm happy, it was 36 to start with,

Holy crap! I thought I was like 15 pounds overweight, but it looks like I'm only about 4. Good to know!

ediets and weight watchers web site have a bmi calculator that tells you how much you should weight for your height.but there is also a formula you can use to find out what is a healthy weight for you its: weight divided by height multiply by 2 and multiply by 703.if your bmi is higher than 24.9 then that means you are overweight or obese if its under 19.9 then that means that you are under weight.
