how do you handle...

  • not eating. Trust me when I say, this is so not an issue for me, I am usually
an emotional eater, but every once in a blue moon, things happen, i get off track, get upset and i miss a meal or two. My past pattern would be to "make up" those calories in something ooey and gooey as soon as the appetite struck back. So, the blue moon struck this morning, I've missed bkfast and lunch. would you just treat it as if you had gone on a binge and just pick up from here or would you try maybe eat more or heavier over the rest of the day and try to get all your calories in? my guess would be to just eat 'normal' for the rest of the day, not try to make up calories.

  • I would just move on from there unless of course, you are super hungry then I would say have a healthy snack with or after your next meal.
  • That's a hard one...me personally, I would try to get all my calories in, but the RIGHT way, not through eating junk.
  • I can't think of the last time I skipped a meal. I plan ahead for every meal! If I did skip a meal, if it were a one time thing and I wasn't hungry, I would just continue the day as normal with the rest of my planned meals (if I were hungry, I would have a healthy snack like peanut butter toast). If I meals habitually, I would make up the daily calories in a healthy way.

I definitely would not use it as an excuse to eat junk.

I agree. Sounds like a good way to handle it.
  • Don't eat junk! I would recommend that you eat something healthy like raw vegtables or have a couple pieces of fruit to make up for the missed calories. I don't think missing out on a few calories will do any harm to you, or throw your body out of whack too much.
