Oh the Planning Thread!

Well, it's not very good planning to start this thread at almost 11 am now is it? But we still can! What's your eating plan for today? Did you pack your lunch? What for supper? Did you workout before work or do you have something else planned for later.
Fail to plan, plan to fail!
What's up today? And think about tomorrow. I'll do better getting that thread up in good time.

sotypical 04-24-2006 11:03 AM

It is only 8am here - so I am good to plan still!

Not sure what is happening today my ride to work (boyfriend's aunt who lives upstairs) FORGET to tell me that she wasn't going to work today. So I am stuck at the moment and not sure if I am going to work or if I can work from home today... but anyway - here is my plan for today / harder to stick to when I am at home tho! haha

B- 1/2 kashi go lean crunch; skim milk; 1 piece 100% whole wheat toast with half a tablespoon peanut butter; banana (half on cerel and half on toast)
L- either a salad with imitation crab meat, hot peppers, and fat free ranch dressing or a wrap made the same way
S- yogurt mixed with cherrios (really starting to love this!)
D- lean cusine... or I might make something since I won't be working

Exercise- walking for 60 min, 30 min total ball work out
Water- 2+ liters

Going shopping for a new TV!!! (if I don't work today)

la3y_un1c0rn_37 04-24-2006 11:19 AM

Hey new TV Kool!!!

B-all bran with raisins
s-snack bites and raisins
L-soup, triscuits, peaches
s- not sure maybe tuna or more raisins
D- you all know the answer to that....I have no clue

Walking 2miles for sure
Weights 20mins for sure

sotypical 04-24-2006 11:20 AM

A new tv will be great! The one we have right now is only 20" - we want at least 42" this time and are looking at maybe getting a plasma!! woo!

srmb60 04-24-2006 11:31 AM

Well, I thought I was going to bike to the post office but it's drizzling and windy. So maybe not today.
B- cream of brown rice with egg whites
L- DD the bride-to-be is coming so tuna and salad, I think
Supper will be chicken breast, DD's choice of vegetable and salad.
I'll need my shake (whey protein and pineapple), some cottage cheese and yogurt for snacks.

Since I can't bike, I think I'll do some dance type cardio and legs.

happydaisy 04-24-2006 12:23 PM

Breakfast - banana (woke up late & with a migraine :( )

Lunch - pb on whole wheat, v8, 1 cup watermelon

la3y_un1c0rn_37 04-24-2006 01:24 PM

How did the race go? I have been haveing a fat weekend....only to get shocked with a 5lbs loss...

Clareh 04-24-2006 01:30 PM

Oh Junebug- I am having a faaaat week son I hope your day gets better.

But I'm trying to change things positively by planning and using this thread again. I am powerwalking a marathon in 4 weeks time (there's 15000 of us doing it around London in decorated bras so I need to make sure my body works properly by then- and doesn't scare anyone in the streets. So clean food and cranking up the exercise is the way forward

Tomorrow will be:

Apple
Weights workout and 20 mins elliptical before work
B: Rye crispbreads and hummous
S: Apple
L: Ham salad with soy nuts
S: Smoothie
7 mile walk
D: Chicken breadt with spinach and peppers and quinoa pilaff.

how fun!! i start training for a 1/2 marathon July 1st, the race is actually end of October

Clareh 04-24-2006 02:00 PM

I've been training since January and have done 18 miles (with the longest 24 mile one this weekend) I've just lost focus a bit as it feels like I've been doing it for so long. But not too long now! And once this is out of the way I'm going to start running too (doubt I'll be hitting any half marathons for a bit!)

la3y_un1c0rn_37 04-24-2006 02:28 PM

June you and I have the same weather...I could not have done well in that eather....I know what you are talk about when you say "humid" I can not breath when it gets that way here...

JustJuneBug 04-24-2006 02:50 PM

Everyone on my running club tells me that its to be expected from now until mid-october. not to expect big things while running because of the weather.

which is why there are hardly anything over a 5K in our area till then. I have a 10miler on Oct 1st which i am worried about because it might be cool or it could still be summer..you just never know!!!

la3y_un1c0rn_37 04-24-2006 04:23 PM

We will have it till about that same time...

babsy 04-24-2006 06:35 PM

Breakfast was a bowl of Special K, lunch a small turkey burger on whole wheat bun (it was soooo good), 2 small pieces of homemade jerky for a snack, beef stew is dinner (big problem is that I made homemade bread for the kids - and we all know how yummy warm homemade bread is with a hot bowl of stew ( we have about 5 inches of snow on the ground here in Wyoming). I'll try to keep it to a small slice!

sotypical 04-24-2006 06:45 PM

SNOW!!! I live in Canada and even we dont have snow! We have beautiful sunshine... time to get on the shorts!

sotypical 04-24-2006 07:09 PM

ohhh we got a new tv! it wont be here till friday tho - but we got 50" :)

srmb60 04-24-2006 07:19 PM

DD called to say she couldn't make lunch and I fell asleep! So she came and we made table favours, had a nice supper of chicken breast and salad and I'm a whole meal behind! But I feel fine. Maybe I'll have a little something naughty while I'm watching Medium later.
And the sun is out so I might still do a wee spin on my bike after all.

sotypical 04-24-2006 07:25 PM

It is SOOO nice here! I am ditching my treadmill tonight and going for a walk on the sea wall with a friend and getting sushi for dinner! mmm

JustJuneBug 04-24-2006 07:30 PM

I just ran 4 miles HARD and was a dripping mess!! but i feel GRRRRRREAT!

I am still having my soup as planned!

Oh and Susan I loooooooove Medium!! Apprentice beforehand though!!!

srmb60 04-24-2006 08:05 PM

No Apprentice at my house. It's hockey playoffs. I'll sneak Medium in between there and then it'll be back to hockey.

Hey, if Courtnie gets that big TV we could watch Medium at her house next week! Oooooo and the Stanley Cup on 50" oooooo ......

I did go for a bit of a bike. The evening breeze was cold on my little hands tho'.

sotypical 04-25-2006 10:21 AM
