Friday's Let's Make a Plan and Stick to it Thread
Do you have your lunch packed? Do you know what you're having for breakfast? How about exercise time? How's it going to fit in on Friday?
Post here and we'll encourage each other through it. |

My lunch is packed because I'm at work... I'd be up queer street if I didn't have my lunch! :lol:
This morning I had toast with jam (jelly) :rolleyes: and a protein-heavy protein shake :D Meal #2 is a lean bacon sandwich Meal #3 is porridge with an egg and banana Meal #4 is a cottage cheese pancake with blueberries Meal #5 is 5 thin slices of turkey on a wholewheat pitta with salad Perhaps if I get hungry, then meal #6 will either be haddock and veggies and a few potatoes or a cottage cheese pancake if I can't be bothered to cook! I just realised when I typed out my meals for the day how much bread I'd planned! I've now subbed a pitta for some porridge at lunch, so that's a bit of damage limitation! I suppose I shouldn't have had bread for brekky, but I was a bit slow off the mark this morning! :lol: Also for snacks between meals I have a HUGE fruit basket on my desk that's bursting at the seams! I must actually EAT some of it! :lol: Exercise wise, it's ripping up those quads and hammies in the gym for at least a good hour, then a :yoga: yoga class, then BED! :yawn: |
I think this thread would just make me too eager for my Dinner. XD

Phantastica ... a good plan has to be flexible, right? You can always slip some of that walking in later. Good plan. Tomei ... I love food. I look forward to todays everymeal :) And for me oatmeal and egg white for breakfast. I'm short vegetables lately, I should have some with that left over chicken for lunch I think supper will be salmon and salad In betweenies will be yogurt, fruit, cottage cheese and maybe my shake. I should bike soon because it's clouding over and weights are back and biceps. |
My computer is down at home so I missed most of the good stuff yesterday!!!

MORNING EVERYONE!!
Late start for me! Bad weather this morning made my commute blah! Buuuuuuuut, I got out of class early last night so I made my lunch before passing out! I just ate breakfast: 2 lean pocket breakfast dealies :) Snacks include: boiled eggs; string cheese; yogurt (doubt I eat it all! but its been slowing growing as I bring new each day and dont eat it all) Lunch: turkey sammich w/ lofat swiss Dinner: my pre-race meal that I always have are: 2 poached eggs/grits :):):) no workout today because as i said i have a 5K early tomorrow morning!! |

Wow lots of posts here already! Will have to catch up later or I am going to be late for work!
Todays plan: B- few green grapes (yes, still trying to get rid of them); 2 pieces 100% whole wheat toast with a bit of raspberry jam S- might have a coffee or maybe a fruit source bar L- salad with shrimp hot sauce and fat free italian dressing, some veggies (baby carrots and celery) S- some kashi go lean crunch (dry) D- salad (will eat that before I exercise and the rest after); some chunky soup (chicken sauasge gumbo); and maybe a piece of toast a few crackers if I am really hungry S- yogurt or a fruit source bar or some cerel - dunno - depends how hungry I am cuz I am going to be staying up really late Exercise- 45-60 min walking (going to do some more running today, yesterday was awesome); 20-30 min pilates Water- 3+ liters oh- does anyone know the best thing to put pilates under on fitday? Hope everyone is having a great day! I will have much more time once I get to work! |
I had a PR (personal record) 2 weeks ago...did it in 32:56, and I HOPE to even shave off 30 sec to 1 minute tomorrow would be great!!!

Grits and 2 egg whites for breakfast Leftover chicken and dumplings for lunch And I feel like a blob. I'm tempted to not eat anymore at all. |

I am feeling kinda blobby today myself. Looks my stomach is sticking out farther.. I feel fatter then normal. And my tummy is even kinda sore. I put on some nice jeans and decided I looked fat and gross and they hurt my tummy cuz it was sticking out so far. So I wore some nice comfy black dress pants instead... and they made me look skinny! wooo! Just eat healthy! Drink lots of water. I try and stay away from diet sodas on days I feel like this - I find they make it worse! |

My period just ended so I don't know if I am having after effects from that or what - I haven't weight in a week (before this I didnt go much longer then 24 hours, haha) - I get to weigh tomorrow but don't know if I want to. I mean what if I didn't lose weight? What if I gained? I will be so upset! I guess it is not a big deal cuz I am being healthier... but I am scared! Least when I weigh everyday it is not a huge deal if I don't lose cuz hey - it has only been one day! but now it has been a week and if I didn't lose... oh dear... I need to stop worrying, lol. |
I havent weighed in about 7 months. I wont be weighed again till May 17 which is my check up day with endocronologist. I fit in my old clothes (old as in 2 years ago) so thats all I care about anyway!!!
stay positive! yeah its funny cause i feel weird sometimes calling it a fat day but yet my clothes fit (ish :) |

I just noticed, not trying to be rude, but you guys eat so much and still loose?
What am I doing wrong? I have only lost 10 lbs in a month. When I was younger I could loose 10lbs in a week. I don't eat breakfast, never did. I used to eat a fast food lunch. now it is yougart, or pretzals if anything at all. I eat maybe a salad or a lean piece of chicken for dinner. I will eat all of the raw fruit and vegis I want, but am not loosing as fast as I want too. I don't exersize, just don't have time, and yes I know this is bad. |

Sluggersmom, I drink tons and tons of water ... I swear by it for weight loss. I drink 64-96 ounces of water a day (in addition to maybe 1-2 other beverages), and I try to get 4 servings of vegetables (~2 c cooked or 4 c raw) in each day; 2 servings at lunch and 2 at dinner. I think the additional roughage from vegetables helps.

I'm gonna ramble a bit here ...
I used to be one of those who didn't eat. I didn't eat breakfast, I thought I was getting away with something if noon went by and I still hadn't eaten. I actually went to a doctor thinking I was depressed because by the time the kids got off the bus I could hardly stand the noise, the air, the hustle! I was mad all afternoon. I nibbled my way thru making supper. Ate enough for four ordinary men and just kept snacking until bedtime. And I grew! I still battle with breakfast. Today it was almost 9:30. But my day, my week, my life, my weightloss goes much better if I eat regularly. I seemed to be stuck at around 130 lbs. In an effort to find a magic bullet, I went hunting around the internet for 'thermogenics' Like hydroxycut, ya know? They boost your metabolism. I tried to find healthy opinions. I found a bodybuilder who said something like ... all food is thermogenic, especially protein. It gets your digestive system and therefore you going ... using calories. A constant supply of a reasonable amount of food ... that's what keeps your metabolism working. Very intresting... I just checked the thread. I find sometimes out of no where I get very very tried.

K so i just read that thread, and here is what i can contribute to that...just from experience.
all week i was eating my protein and fiber and a bit of fat for breakfast (by the way if i dont eat by 7:30am i am going to go postal on someone)...but the last 2 days i opted for the lean pocket breakfast things...less calories yes than what i was eating, but WAY less healthier and i was ravenous just about 90 min later if not before....back to my KASHI!!! my other breakfast staple(s) are 2 poached eggs and grits with a bit of lofat shredded cheese!. lasts me for hours!! and i might ramble here too, but well the no exercise thing might not be helping either. maybe that first month or so you will lose without any exercise but it wont last long and it wont stay off...just my .02 which is worth less than that! |
You could try my oatmeal ;)

I find ceral makes me hungry - always has. That is why I always have a piece of toast with it.

The first time I tried steel cut oats I was very disappointed. I was hungry in about an hour! The ladies who lift pointed out that I had to have protein with it. Duh!
Now I whiz it with egg whites ... makes like a custard. I really enjoy it and it keeps me full for a while. |
