My grandmother is the same way. She's 82 but she keeps refering to people 20 years younger than her as old ladies.
But she doesn't think she's old. My grandfather makes me giggle when he says he's going gofling with his young buddies (he's 84, and they are all in their seventies)
As for "being old". It's all in the attitude. You're only as old as you act and feel
I know some 30 year olds who look older than 40 and 50 years old. The most amazing was a woman I met who was 73...in better shape than most "young" people...we had trouble keeping up with her. And she looked so pretty! She said it's all about how you decide to live your life. The day she says she can't do something because she is old is the day she will be old.
