Good morning ladies!

Instead of joining one thats already started i decided why not start a new one... theres got to be other girls who need a little daily support too!! So hopefully some of you will want in! We can choose a name and meet some new people who are going through the same things we are!
As for me here are my "stats"...

I am glad you had great day. In my case, it wasn't so great. I did my hour workout :ebike: but had little bit trouble with my eating. But its okay, I can dust myself off and move on. And :welcome3: to the group tipsygypsy, join us whenever you come back from your trip. We'll be here I am sure. I am very happy that I have support buddies, even though I know everyone is one big support group on this site. Its getting harder and harder for me!!! I've been working so hard and haven't lost anything for couple of months. Well, I'll get there its just matter of time.
Once again, happy to be in the group!!! Looking forward to it!!!

Need Support Too!

Hi guys,

I could use the support too. I haven't started losing any weight yet, but I'm here and doing my best.

I've been doing the gym for about a month now, but was sick for 2 weeks and actually gained about 5 pounds back.

Here are my stats:
Age: 32
CW: 212
GW: 150-160

As you can see, I have a long way to go!!

tsots 01-13-2006 02:13 PM

:welcome2: Lisa, great to have you here with us! Its okay, you can't change the fact that you were sick. All you can do is just move on, lose the 5 lbs that were gained and then some.:carrot: We'll do this together, all of us. We can stick together, and support each other when we're down, and encourage each other.
I've had pretty good day so far. I've did my hour cardio and weights this morning. Had my cereal for breakfast, and planning on having small portion of spagetti for lunch. Also, thinking about going out to do some more cardio for this afternoon, but I'll have to see about that.
I hope everyone is having great day!!!!

hellokittyfan 01-13-2006 04:57 PM

Thanks!

Hi tsots!

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I definitely am doing my best to exercise this year.

I did four days this week, which is a big thing for me!! I'm trying real hard, I even have a food/exercise journal to mark down what I've been doing.

I want to keep myself accountable for what I eat and what exercise I do.

Lisa ;)

kate7583 01-13-2006 07:09 PM

good evening!

Hey girls! Im so glad weve had such a great response to my post!

I wanted to tell those of you who are interested or use a food and activity journal about fitday.com. I use it and love it. Its self explainitory so i wont waste precious post space. Try it out and see what you think! I love it. It makes me accountable and shows me how im doing in so many different ways. I hope everyone is having a good day! :cb:

tsots 01-13-2006 08:05 PM

I use fitday too, and I love it. I used to have a notebook that I wrote down everything, but now its much easier with fitday.

getncontrol 01-14-2006 10:20 AM

I've used fitday too and still do when I bake to find out proper counts. Mostly I journal everything on paper. It makes me be honest with myself about what I'm eating. Hope you all have a good weekend!

tsots 01-14-2006 04:13 PM

Just want it to check with everyone. I hope everyone is having great saturday. Its so nice out today here in NE. I went for my morning cardio and did hour long cardio. I am thinking about taking my son out for walk. I usually put him on his stroller and walk around the neighborhood about an hour or so. I usually workout at least an hour and a half everyday, but for this week I feel so run down. So, I am doing just hour long cardio a day, and some weights. Well, anyways,I hope everyone is doing wonderful.

Hopping Aboard for Daily Support

Hello there everyone. Today marks one week that I have been trying harder to be healthier. I don't have that much weight to lose, but the weight I have on me still makes me feel bad. I only lost one pound this week so I am a little mopey today. Feeling fat. My clothes won't fit well again until I lose another 4 pounds or so. UGH.

Currently, I am trying to eat five fruits and veggies a day. I am also entering my food into fitday every day, aiming for roughly 1600 calories a day, and hoping to burn off 200 through exercise.

I am not counting throughout the day though, I am just trying to eat reasonably and up my exercise from 3 walks a week. I don't want to do strict counting this time....it makes me rebel. I am hoping I can lose about a pound a week, to be back at a happy weight by early April.

Biggest food challenges lately- chocolate turtle chex mix and Stewart's Light Icc Cream Medieval Madness flavor

Yummiest healthy food lately - salad with spring lettuce, dried cranberries (1T) almonds 1T, slices of clementines, and Newman's light raspberry dressing. Yum.

welcome michelle!

Michelle~ Welcome!!! Today is a week for me too and i know that its slow going at first. Im a nanny which is as close as i can get to being a sahm! I know its not easy to always eat right when you spend half the day handing out graham crackers and goldfish! I think your plan sounds great to take it off slow to keep it off! Great job! I look forward to hearing more about it... you should be proud of that pound. Its one closer than last week and puts you closer to your goal! Congrats! kate

tsots 01-14-2006 09:09 PM

Losing one pound a week means you're doing it right! I know that losing more than one would be great, but it probably not going to be all fat, and you don't want to lose your muscle. Before you know it you will be at your goal weight!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Kate, I know about handing out the Graham, and goldfish.. etc. I am stay at home mom, and my son is almost 2 years old. So, basically he munches on things throughout the day. He wants goldfish and then changes his mind and wants some graham. I really try hard to pick uneaten crackers and put it away, but unfortunetly often times it ends up in my mouth. :carrot:

We need a name!

Good morning everyone!

I think we need a name. And do we need to move to another part of the forum or are we okay here?

I was so pumped at the beginning of the week and yesterday and today I just feel negative. I think it is the fact that it is almost TOM and so I am bloated and feel achey. Here's hoping that by tomorrow I feel pumped again.

goal for today - get through b-day luncheon for good friend (at diner type place) and eat as healthfully as possible

Kate I live in upstate NY. Queensbury.......near Lake George, Glens Falls, Saratoga. Ever heard of it?

Any ideas for a name?
Michelle

kate7583 01-15-2006 10:59 AM

But whats the name?!

I think a name is a great idea. I had originally hoped someone would come up with one when i started the post because i didnt think i could. So post your ideas girls!
Michelle i have heard of saratoga... Hows the weather there this time of year? I think you already know what buffalo is like right now. :( Not exactly the best time to go out to exercise!

Well i havent eaten well the past two days. Ive stayed in my cals but its still not good food. So im just hovering. I hate that. The next two days im really buckling down and then getting back on my regular track. I hope everyone else is having a good day. THINK THINK THINK about a name!!!

michellechristine 01-16-2006 07:05 AM

It is -5 this morning. Brrrrrr. It is cold like Bufflao, but we generally get less snow.

I am feeling less TOM symptoms today.....going to try and get back in the groove. Kids are home today but I am still hoping to squeeze in exercise.

I will try and think of a name.

Here's hoping everyone has a day full of positive, powerful thinking.
Michelle

getncontrol 01-16-2006 10:39 AM

Good morning ladies!! Sorry, I can't think of name. I've never been that creative. :dizzy: Had a good weekend, I went a little overboard on my free meal but no weight gain so that's good.

tsots 01-16-2006 11:50 AM

Good Morning Ladies!!! Its cold out here in Omaha too. It was so nice day, it was 62 degrees out. I took my son out for a walk, we walked around the neighborhood about hour and a half. This morning I went to the gym, and did my cardio for an hour. I have class tonight, so need to get ready for that. I'll think about some names too. Have a wonderful and healthy day ladies!!!

getncontrol 01-16-2006 09:15 PM

What an awful day today! I haven't had a hungry day like this since I weighed over 200lbs. I felt like I was starving all day. I managed to keep my calories in check though. Yay for will power!! :carrot: How is everyone else doing?

hellokittyfan 01-17-2006 10:26 AM

Hi guys

Hi everyone,

I'm back. Hope all had a good weekend.

HEELLLLLOOOOOOOO!! What happened to the daily support??? Come on ladies how was your day yesterday, what's the plan for today??

I had a great day yesterday and so far so good today.

kate7583 01-20-2006 01:40 PM

:(

hey girls. Im miserable today. On tuesday nite i cheated. Big time. I was feeling horrible and invinsible at the same time. I ate junk. Alot of junk. That morning my scale had said 145.5 and the next morning it said something totally outragous like i was back up to 150lbs. I know it was probably mostly water and whatever but today is friday and ive been fighting everyday and now it says 147.5. Whats the deal? I didnt eat that much i just didnt eat good food. Im so upset and i cant seem to get it back to where i was. Ive been eating super clean, getting my exercise and taking care of myself. Ive stayed at 1200 calories because i dont want to go into starvation mode to make it go back down. Whats going on??? Any one have any Ideas? Kate

tsots 01-20-2006 02:57 PM

Its going to be alright, Kate. Like you've mentioned its probably mostly water weight. When I overeat, then the next day I am always much heavier than the previous day. But I know that its impossible for me to gain 5 lbs overnight. So, its water weight, so I usually increase my water intakes and eat healthier and exercise and my weight goes down in no time. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll be back in no time. I know its so frustrating, but if you keep doing what you're doing, then you'll reach your goal no matter how many bumps you face during the process. Just don't give up!!! I know how it feels, because I just went through it for myself. I was so bad on my eating almost all last week, so my weight was way up. This week, I've been eating healthier and my weight is finally coming down to where it was. Sorry for rambling but just give it a day or so, and you'll be fine.!!!

tsots 01-20-2006 03:02 PM

Its been few days since I've posted. Well, my days are going pretty good. Since I was OP for last week, my weight was up. I was very frustrated, but I've been good this week, and its finally coming down. Tomorrow is going to tough day, because its my son's birthday. We're going to have big party, and my sister and I are planning on cooking several dishes from back home. Party startes at 7 pm, and I need to really watch out my portions, and what I am eating. I know it will be hard, but I am going to try really hard to stay on program. Well, I am glad getncontrol having great day! :carrot:
Kate hang in there, and it will okay!

tsots 01-22-2006 06:27 PM

Hey ladies!!! How is everybody doing? I hope everyone is doing great. I am just checking with everyone. I am doing alright, it was great last night at my son's birthday party. A lots of friends came over, and couple of friends of mine arrived, and I haven't seen one of them for a year, and another one for over a three years. They were so surprised to see me. They said I looked great and tiny. It was great to hear that!!! lol. Well, anyways, my eating didn't go according to plan, but its okay. I am back on the wagon today!!!

Caity 01-22-2006 09:13 PM

Hey Everyone!! I am doing pretty well, I haven't slipped up too much :) and joined Curves yesterday, and I am excited to start it tommorrow, I think more exercise will really help with the weight loss and make me feel better. I hope everyone else is doing great!!
Caity

Although I don't have much to lose, I am full of admiration for those of you who have lost any. I've been trying for two years, although on reflection I've probably put much more thought into it than anything practically :o

So far today, I've eaten porridge with yoghurt for breaky and a cup of coffee. Will go and lift some weights now and report back tomorrow. All the best everyone.:)

tsots 01-24-2006 10:03 PM

Hey ladies!!! Welcome High C, I am glad you're joining!!! How's everyone doing with their program. I hope everyone is doing better than I am. Well, after my son's birthday party on saturday, I went right back on the wagon, but today didn't go according to plan. I overate but its okay, I will go back on it tomorrow, and hopefully get back to where I was in no time.

Hello Ladies,

Hope everyone's going well and that something positive happened in your life yesterday, even if it wasn't weight-wise. I had the yummiest meals yesterday:

Breaky: Porridge and yoghurt, coffee
