Welcome, :welcome2: Kookiemonster, Rachel and Arizona Girl:welcome2:
You are going to do great on this thread, there is so much positive energy I can feel it everytime I sit at the computer :carrot: :carrot: |
WOW!
I am shocked at the number of enthusiastic people! congratulations for joining in, and lets all give each other a clap on the back, for wanting to do this!! I love the sound of the carmen electra exercise DVD! I think i am gonna have to find that one (i love outrageous things.... ) I have been eyeing off billy blanks bootcamp, but i have his original 4 set of tae bo and do know how hard he pushes you! i loved it but didn't do it often enough. When he is in you face on the tv, you want to grab him by the ears and thump him one. LOL! My goal is focused on excercise, being able to run! for a reasonable distance (without collapsing!) and diet- now i need to eat more, it is hard though i feel i will gain the weight back. One tiny step at a time though. i eat low cal, try to stay under 1500 a day. and try to excercise 4-5 times a week. (and lately i have been pushing myself to make the sessions hard! sometimes i am sore for 3-4 days after) My biggest thing is that i don't want to see myself one april fools back to being the dispondant, unhappy, eat anything, slob that i can so easily end up turning back into! I need to continue this postive way of living, in which i feel proud to be doing what i can for my health! As for new foods! I had a TOFU! salad sandwich for lunch!!!!!!! and i liked it!!! I also have been attempting to drink green teas... (for a tea hater that is really hard!) I too need to find that 12 step program for diet pepsi detox! LOL!!!!! But i figure we all still need to have something! It tends to control my hunger, if i am cooking dinner, and my stomach starts growling, a can of diet soda, stops it for long enough, so i can wait for dinner. Also when i am in bad mood, or the kids have made me upset, i tend to grab for a diet soda, instead of reaching for snacks... good luck everyone! ! |
Ok, so this would be my first challenge since I'm brand new here. We have to do this on our own? Should we already have some sort of "diet" plan in place?
|
Wow. I am so amazed at how many people have responded to this challenge. This is great. I've already added a new ticker to my sig. I still have my New Years challenge to meet, just four more pounds. But I highly doubt that I will losing four pounds by Sunday. But that's okay. I'm so proud of myself for losing what I have so far. And now I'm looking forward to this new challenge.

OK... count me in! Thanks for all of your help Sheri!
I am new to this site, but not new to dieting! I have to do it this time, for me, and I will need all of the help I can get! lol Hopefully I will be helpful and supportive to all of you along the way. I am going to start tomorrow, as Thursdays have always been my weigh in days in the past (guess it's habit now? lol) and I would like to lose <<gasp>> 30 pounds!! That is about 2 pounds per week, accounting for a few extra 'water' pounds in the beginning. I am going to add a separate ticker as well. Good luck to everyone !! :carrot: |
I am completely new to this site, but I am in for this challenge, I would love to be down 27 pounds by April 1st.

How can I get an April Fool's Challenge ticker?

I tried to make a weight tracker... hopefully I did it right and it's posted below ;) I have done WW in the past and became a lifetime member, but alas, I slipped and gained most of it back.... ugh... This thread seems very encouraging and you guys post/check-in a lot, which is just what I need! :) See ya tomorrow.

I'll go for...15 pounds. That's not too much. I can do that. Cor it's excitin'. :) :carrot: |
Val,
Dont go cold turkey with the diet coke. It is painful, as I found out last time I tried. We ended up literally pumping the stuff into me so that I could move again. I suggest slowing down to 1 can a day and then 1 every second day for a week, etc etc. When I went cold turkey on the stuff all the muscles in my legs seized up. I was having to take heavy paracetamol tablets, and was pretty much stuck in bed for days. Now I am weaning myself off the stuff. I've decided that my goal will be 10kg for this challenge. If I make that before April, I'll go for another 5. My intention I mean. For the next week, I'll focus on writing everything I eat again and counting my calories. Kathy |
To help avoid the dt. pepsi DT's....replace the caffeine that you would get from your soda with caffeine from a different source like tea. Your body has gotten so used to this caffeine level every day that you cant just stop drinking it without suffering the consequences. I used raspberry iced tea and plain old green tea (yuck) to help me and it actually didnt do to bad. I was definately buying stock in Tylenol for a week but its worth it. I lost a good amount of weight just by changing one small habit. I still have one here and there, but it almost doesnt taste as good anymore!!!
Billy Blanks killed all my muscles! I am so sore this morning I feel like a 90 year old woman! I guess he didnt get a body like that without some work...but hot damn, I dont think I can work like that! I start dying during the stretch! I'll just be thankful that today is a rest day!! |

HOORAY!!! to everyone posting out here! How nice and busy and excited! It makes it a little tough to keep up, and I'm sort of dreading reading all of the weekend posts when I get back to work each monday... but it will be totally worth it to feel all pumped up and ready.
I already LOVE to try new foods and am always reaching for new things, and since I am also trying to clean out my fridge and freezer (I'm moving in a week), I won't go out buying new stuff this time. But when I have to stock my fridge at my new place, I think that I'll definetely try something new. And I am planning on starting some new exercises -- weight training type things, in addition to cardio, so that can be my focus this week. And my mini goal is to get myself back down to 153 -- my pre-Christmas weight. |
Hello everyone! I'm new to 3FC. Even though I really don't have a set goal for April I do for May which is not that far away. Anyways, I am a 21 year old mother of 2 who would love to lose alot of weight. Weight was never a problem for me in the past but now it's my worst nightmare. I've been trying to exersice when I can. I have a 6 week old baby girl and another daughter who is a year and a half. I am a stay at home mom at the moment and finding time to actually "workout" is very hard. I have been walking my neighborhood and doing light exersices while watching tv after the girl are asleep or while at my computer. Nothing too stenuous but I during the day I'm amost always on the move. I am also trying my best to count calories and work with the WW point system. I hope to achieve my goal of weighing in at 140 lbs. by May 25th of 2006. Right now I'm at 212 and I'm a size 18-20. Ahhhh!!! That's horrible for me.
