No, the recommended max is 2000-2400mg. However, that's for the normal 2000-2500 calorie diet. I don't know if it makes a difference, but since I am taking in less food (fewer calories), I also try to take in less than 2000mg of sodium daily.

Fitday does have bugs sometimes. I found one that I'm not sure if they fixed or not . . . I entered in my multi-vitamin as a custom food, then put that as the only thing I ate for the day. The vitamin has 110% of Vitamin E. With that as the only thing listed for the day, I went to reports and picked the report on "am I meeting my nutrient requirements" and put "today". It told me I had eaten 400% of the RDA of Vitamin E. Obviously something was wrong there!

Anyway, don't count on it being a bug, but I just wanted to add that Fitday is not flawless. A lot of their stuff on the lists has salt listed -- for example, if you pick any kind of pasta, and "fat not added in cooking," and then look at the ingredients list, they will have pasta and salt as the two ingredients. If you don't salt your water, then this is sodium you're not really taking in.
