Default Need to know what to look forward to for my motivation...

I have stuck to my diet and exercise regimen perfectly, and feel better, but how long does it usually take to start seeing physical change in your body? I have a whole wardrobe of clothes waiting for me on the thin side, and I try some things on occasionally to see where I'm at....so far they fit exactly the same. Could I possibly start losing actual inches (half inches? I'll take centimeters...) within the next couple weeks? Month?

It took me about 13 pounds before I heard compliments from others, once I hit 155 it was like bam suddenly everyone noticed! Of course I noticed from the start, after 5 pounds my tummy was smoother, and after 10 I got my shapely legs back, etc

Every one looses differentally. Give it a while longer and I'm sure you will start seeing results! Do you exercise? That not only makes it easier to lose weight, but it helps firm you up so you will see results sooner. And, remember, in the mean time you are getting healthier every day!

How long have you been dieting and how much have you lost?

I started at 162. I noticed, really noticed something after about 8 lbs. One of my rings fell off while doing dishes. So I grabbed one of my other rings I havent been able to wear for 12 years, and it was a snug fit, but I got it on there!

You will notice *feeling* different first. Just feeling more able to do physical stuff. Then one day in the shower when your're scrubbing youself, you'll be like, hey! My waist seems different.

Lastly, keep in mind that sometimes it seems like you haven't lost any weight, but things seem to have moved around. That was frustrating to me. Keep going no matter what!

My mom swears she can see a difference, especially around my middle. I just asked if her that meant she thought I had a fat middle in the first place.

I've noticed something though...today I made an effort to look my best, spent extra time on my hair, tried some new things with my eye makeup, and remembered to put on jewelry. What a difference that makes. I felt so much more attractive than I usually do, and that gave me more motivation to keep going.

I have lost 26 pounds and I can see a little bit of a difference. You have less to lose than I do so I bet you'll see a difference a lot sooner. My DH and a close friend noticed the changes much earlier than I have. I've lost 4.5 inches total (half an inch here, an inch there) and I can see the difference in my chin and neck.

It really does make you feel better to TRY to look your best though, doesn't it? I always feel better when I have taken the time to make myself look my best.
