I realized that I haven't eaten meat for 5 days already. And I'm not really tempted. Wohoo! 15 more days to go. Hope I could last until Day 20. If not then... :eek: hahaha

Angel ,hi to the cosmo! We are a cat house,have 2 older cats. I hope everyone has a great weight loss day. i know we can get a pound off. We have each other to think of every time we go to put food in our mouth. we have each other with every step we take, every exercise we do. Keep up the good work. Boot camp is supposed to be tough and strong. Challenge yourself.

Hello Everyone!
Sorry I've been gone so long but something isn't right with me. At first I thought it was the flu -- now I am beginning to wonder if it's some kind of hormonal imbalance caused by perimenopause. I've got constant migranes and I'm terribly nauseous. I don't seem to be getting any better and I've been off Medifast for almost two weeks because I can't fast when I feel so sick. If it doesn't let up soon, I'll have to see the gynecologist because I'm fairly sure this is due to hormones. If it were the flu, it would have passed by now. Hope to up, around, and back to dieting soon. Sorry I am not around to give much support, but I've been spending most of my days lying in bed because I am so queasy. Rainbowmyst |

Those symptoms sound pretty awful. Migraines can cause nausea if they're severe; have you had them checked out by a doctor? I hope you start feeling better soon. I'm getting pretty close to perimenopause myself, which is one reason I'm trying to eat healthier. okay, current stats: SW 195 CW: 175 GW: 157 (I'm 5'10" tall). I did exercise today (hooray!) and had veggies at lunch. We're out of lite bread, so I had a flour tortilla earlier for a snack (bad!) I need to go to the store and get more lite bread; I can't survive without bread so it helps me make it through the day... Sheri |
Rainbow, I hope that you feel better soon, and that it is nothing serious. Maybe you shouldn’t wait to see Dr, go and find out what is going on with you before whatever it is could have a chance to get worse. Better to be safe than sorry.
Orange, what kind of diet are you on that you can’t eat meat. I'm on Atkins, and that is the biggest part of my diet. I can give up the carbs, but I can’t give up the meat. Ok, well I just wanted to just drop a quick line before hitting the sack.. I’ll check back tomorrow, hope every one is doing good. Mia |

I haven't been around for a while but decided to check back in. I'm doing things a bit differently this time around as I'm being tested at a health store for metabolism, blood/urine/saliva/digestion tests, etc., an also starting the eating right for your blood type. Normally I stay away from anything that could be called "gimmicky" but I've been studying this one and feel it is worth a try. When I exercise I generally "go crazy" at it... but this time I'm doing what it says... at least 30-40 minutes 3 or 4 times a week of strenuous exercise. Wishing all of you well! Sue |

Perimenopause is going to be the death of me. All this suffering was apparently due to PMS. What is happening to me? I HATE THIS! I always had migranes, but they only lasted one day just before TOM arrived. I was sicker than a dog for the past ten to twelve days and convinced it was the flu for almost a week before I thought it might be hormones. Everything is so irregular I don't even know when to expect TOM anymore. I am afraid to step on the scale. After not Medifasting for over ten days and lying in bed with ragining headaches and nausea -- I won't be surprised if I ended up gaining ten pounds. The queer part is that par for the course, the moment TOM started, all the symptoms vanished. So for the first time in days I don't have a raging headache and I am not sick to my stomach. I don't know how I am ever going to lose weight if this PMS keeps getting worse whenever TOM decides to show up. I'm going to restart Medifast on Sunday...but I've lost two weeks of time on my schedule and probably went backwards a little on my weight loss. *sigh* Hope you all did better than me. Rainbowmyst |

I'm sorry your PMS is doing this to you. Makes it really hard to keep active or lose when you feel that bad... dance4joy: let me know how the tests go, and if this approach helps. Like you, I enjoy exercising; my only problem is I then eat more than ever! Fern: what you said is so true. I ate out and had fajitas last night, blew my diet but only had 1 tortilla instead of my normal 3 (a small victory) . I'm hoping to stick to my 1200 calories today, wish me luck... Sheri |

Sorry I havent posted in a few days..... School has been long and hard but I am enjoying it.... It only goes until end of November.... I can make it!!!! Had my first exam Friday and made an 98!!!!! :) :) :) The teacher was shocked.... apparently I am the 1st 98 he has ever had... he said he didnt make his exams for people to get in the 90's..... the closest in my class was an 89! I am now onto the 2nd section... it is supposed to be the hardest one.... lots of terms and legal stuff.... wish me luck! I have walked twice in the last 3 days and have tried to control my eating to some extent.... but still not super focused on it... the stress of school and work have been getting me..... my boss called and wants another meeting with me Tuesday... maybe I will be laid off then.... who knows.... I just wish I knew one way or another! I hate the hanging out here.... Rainbow- I hope you can get some help on the PMS./... I know how bad it can be... I had lots of problems when I had it... Sheri- Way to go on the 20# weight loss.... you can do the rest I know.... Dance- Nice seeing you again! I hope the diet works for you... let us know how you are doing on it.... Cosmo is getting big (well it is hard to tell that because Rommie my other cat is 22#s) He is too cute and you just want to love him to death.... he and cooper (one of the wondermutts that I found) are the best buddies.... they sleep together and hang out with each other.... this little 6# kitten rules this 65# dog.... it is too cute. Cosmo helps me work all day and helps on the computer! Well I am off to bed.... I have studied today about 7 hours.... my dear hubby made homemade pasta and meat sauce.... we learned it when we were in Italy at the cooking school.... it was so good and kept him out of my hair for most of the day! |
Angel, Congratulations on your test. Im sure that you will continue to do well on all your future tests. Im trying really hatrd to keep posting regularly here. Im trying to discipline myself to make time for it. Even if it is just a short post, at least Im here. :-)

Heya guys...i've been slacking off...in terms of dieting...BUT at least i am still keeping my vow of not eating pork, beef and chicken :-) tomorrow im gonna drink beer, gin and a lot of alcoholic drinks...cool! hahaha

Hi everyone. I walked today (good). I bought a dozen bagels yesterday, and had three today (bad). But I cut out a lot of other stuff (good).
I've decided that I can't go into bagel stores any more. The urge to buy them, and to binge on carbos is too great. I need to treat my carb urges like what they are: a real addiction, and act accordingly. Sheri |

My weekend was fun. I am ready to leave again. My 2 year old dd has been getting me up at 5:30 in the morning. When you work second this is not a good thing. She doesn't want to go to bed at night either. Probably time to cut out naps but I enjoy that little time to myself! My eating has been not so hot but I am keeping up the exericise so we will see how it goes at weigh in this week! Congrads on your test Angel! I have to run.
