Well, I almost gave my dh a HEART attack when he got home this afternoon. I bought this beautiful chocolate colored bra and panty set when I bought my shoes to go with my new outfits and it was delivered today. I took the stuff out and looked at the panties thinking, "Ain't NO way my big butt is gonna fit in these I don't care what size it says they are." Well, I was wrong, they did fit and I put the set on and walked around in the condo waiting for Jack to get home. He thought he had died and gone to heaven! Much better response than I would have thought he'd have! :o So that just shows you young ladies that when you get old, Viagra is not necessarily a necessity! Stick to satin and lace! It will work EVERY time!
talk to you tomorrow! Faye:) |
OOoooooooooo Faye.... U GO GIRL!!! what a woman!!
Sandy:flow1:  |
WEDNESDAY: Today is Wednesday's woes. Get that griping off your chest. Anything and everything is up for grabs!
Morning ladies! I was sleeping and dh came up and woke me up to ask me something so here I am posting EARLY as usual. I GET A: :bravo: for points. Boy, I am sure impressed at what exercising has done for me. I was showing dh my "tricks" last night, which for you 20-40 lb losers ain't nothin' but for me is super human, like being able to cross my legs at the knee and stay that way, laying flat on the bed and lifting my leg straight up in the air and keeping it there, standing on tip toes, stuff like that. Jack of course sees the more logical things in his mind, my butt is smaller and softer, my boobs are smaller (though that bothers him probably! ), when I am sitting, the promised land can now be seen. I am really glad I have gotten my mind clicked on to exercise because without it, I know I wouldn't be able to do what I am doing, losing weight or not! Talk to you later Faye:) |
Good morning Ladies....all points for yesterday...got my water, stayed on program and exercisewas great...Faye ,you sure are right about all the different little things that come along with getting fit,and exercise is the very key that makes it possible...not to mention the energy that comes along too....yesterday I walked 3 miles ,strength trained for 15 minutes and then did Denise Austin for 30 minutes...I really had a lot of energy and I pushed myself ....then cleaned house ,hung out 2 loads of clothes ,baked 2 dozen muffins, made supper...then we went to my son's practice..where I got some more walking in...I am determined to have those tight buns in my jeans..oh yeah,I did 3 sets of squats...good for the buns:D :D :D :D :strong:well Ladies,I hope Yall have a SUPER MOTIVATED DAY!!!!......i WILL CHECK IN LATER...i'M OFF TO START THE DAY....HUGS TO ALL.... :) :) :) :) Joy
|
Hello All,
Faye--I'm glad life is treating you so well! I haven't got as much weight to loose as you but I to have tricks that I can do that I couldn't before. I guess my gripe is that I remember tricks I could do at 135 that I can't do now at 170. Like wear high heel shoes. I exercised yesterday and I drank my water but I didn't eat to well. I want to stay with the challenge though and woke up this morning feeling really motivated. Can I give in a weekend day to make up for not eating right yesterday? everyone thanks for posting you are quite inspirational Debbie-Lee |
Mornin' Ladies! I'm running late, so this will be short....
Got all 4 points yesterday, though I tried hard to talk myself out of exercising. Did it anyway....I think I'm addicted to sweat! Once I start sweating, I feel great and don't want to stop. It's just getting out the door and on the treadmill. Faye, I'm so happy for you and your new underwear !  You've worked so hard and we're all proud of you.........remind me again, when is that 5mile walk you're doing? Joy--Great job on the exercise! You'll have that tight butt in no time :) Missy--we missed you, glad you're back. Later all, Julie |
Good Morning Chickadees,
pts for yesterday: 2 pts for program, 1 pt for water, and 1 pt for exercise. Faye, WOW...new drawers!! and a new brassiere!!!! or as the folks use to call em' "step - ins". I can just see you dancing around......bet Jack WAS pleased!!!  :s: Mirabelly, have a great day:spin: :strong: Debbie, GREAT JOB!! YOU GOT IN THAT EXERCISE!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, as far as the water goes, do you feel like you are "floating", I know I do;) ;) Joy, I get tired just reading about all of your activity!!!:dizzy: :high: YOU ARE DOING SO WELL!!! I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU.:cp: Wednesday Woes: DON'T HAVE ANY :D LATER GIRLIES:wave: |
Good morning girls! How are we all doing today. I went out to dinner last night, had a chicken salad croissant AND STILL made my plan. Rock on! ;)
I am 4 points yesterday. Nothing else much to report right now, my work 'ex' is giving me drama yesterday, but you know what? I don't feel like worrying about him. It's SO not worth it. |
Also, congrats to Faye and her skivvies!
|
Wow Faye, I've been away 2 days and look what I've missed. What fun. Must get myself some satin undies. I'll wait till our December deadline and then get a scarlet set.:o
I've been good - I get 4 points for Tuesday. I GOT ON THE TREADMILL TODAY and did 20 min. on an incline!!! And my back doesn't feel too bad. I think I should get 4 points for today, but I'll wait till later before I start crowing, late night is the danger period. Julie, how are you doing with the journal? Everybody seems to be on track. I'll post again later tonight providing we have electricity. There was a fire at the power station yesterday morning, ( hence I have not been able to post). The power has been erratic all day today as well. Ciao Ritu |
WE ARE DOING GREAT! KEEP WORKING HARD!
Missy: YOU GET A: :bravo: for points! Pam: YOU GET A: :bravo: for points! DebbieL: YOU GET A: :high: for points! You have 10 days out of 14 for the challenge starting this last Monday so YEP, any 10 will do but try to get as close to 14 as possible if you can! Julie: YOU GET A: :bravo: for points! Oct 25th is the Race for the Cure (for me, walk for the cure!) Joy: YOU GET A: :bravo: for points! My sil calls underwear my size "big girl panties" but I am now able to wear "elegant tushie and boobie covers" so I am coming up in the world. Actually, Just My Size has some gorgeous sets that are cheaper and I may invest in some of those too! Got to keep Jack hoppin! I just finished 3.4 miles !!! :cb: :cb: :cp: That's the farthest I have ever walked. So now I really know I can do the 5K even though I was pooped. I am hoping the area where the race is , is not totally uphill or something. I did walk probably 1.5 miles of the total uphill though and did A-OK! I apologize for thumping my chest about this, but I actually cried coming back knowing what I was accomplishing. All of this, the weight loss, stamina increase, smaller size, different clothing sizes, etc is like finding a friend you have been looking for a long time. I told Jack last night that for me it is not an ego thing, but for myself it is getting healthy and being able to do things I couldn't and for others I just want to be an example to someone who says, "There is NO way I can do this. I can't walk or exercise because I am too fat, I can't stop overeating, I can't control anything in my life. I am just going to die fat." I just want to shout, "look at me, yes you CAN!" If through this thread, and my website, I get just one person turned on to bettering their life, I am totally thrilled. I am sticky and icky from walking so I am going to hop in the shower. LOVE YOU ALL LIKE SISTERS! Faye :) |
Good Morning Ladies!!! I got all my points yesterday!! Yeah!! The bike ride was fun, but harder than i thought it would be...but in time it will just be a breeze. i went to bed last night mad at my hubby... woke up tired and not quite my optomistic self. This too shall pass... thats my only gripe tho. I am hoping the weather gets nicer so i can get my kitchen table repainted today...
Faye.... CONGRATS!! on your tricks! u r such a positive woman, i thoroughly enjoy reading your posts. Ritu.... Awesome on your points and exercise!! Joy... you have boundless eneregy... i wish i had more days like those... Debbie... high heels can be a pain anyway...lol besides u can still wear them, just not as high... stay positive! Julie... i know what u mean about the sweat factor... i seem to be addicted as well... good job!!! Pam... way to get all your points!!! Awesome! Missy... U go girl!! rock on and you are so right... it is soooo not worth your worries...!! Stay strong! I think i got everyone.. if i missed someone i apologize... u all have a fab day and stay positive and strong. U r my inspiration, my inner voice, and my friends.... take care of u Sandy:flow1:  |
Hello All
Just a note Sandy--I can WEAR high heels, I just can't WALK in them. See Faye's post for an idea of what I currently do in them! Walking would be nice though. Debbie Lee |
Debbie, well then thats all that matters then isnt it... LOL!!;) I just dont find them comfortable, never did. But they do make your legs look awesome. :D
Faye... I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!! U GO!!! I understand completely what u are saying... about most everything...lol The wanting it for u... so u can be hjealthier and do things u couldnt do before... yup. Thats how i feel as well. I will have to go and see if i can find the link to your website... i would love to see it. I started fiday.com yesterday.. and i really like it. I am going to do it for a week and then evaluated where i need to cut back.. ie fats, carbs...etc. Well, i just finished painting my table... so while i let it dray i am going to hop into the shower and unstinkafy myself. :yikes: I will check back later... this is afterall my new home of sorts... Sandy:flow1:  |
I can honestly say I don't think I have ever seen a woman look bad in heels, but just like Bras, MEN invented them so of course they are uncomfortable! Can you see a man walking around all day in a pair of high heels or in a bra that is climbing up? They would do what they do when they need to "re-arrange" just do it in public!
I would love to be able to wear high heels again. I bet I haven't worn heels over an inch high in 20 years. I will never look good in shoes as I am flatfooted, but I can dream I guess and that never stopped me anyway! You ladies are all beautiful peaches! Faye;) |
Hello Ladies...how is everyone?....I got my 3 miles in today...and I FEEL GREAT.....I chalk my energy up to all the exercise , eating healthy, and these wonderful vitamins that I take for women over forty...they are all natural..we have a medicine man shoppe here that has all sort of remedies that are all natural.but I must also say that I love this site and all you wonderful Ladies...it just makes my day knowing that I can come here and read about each and everyone of you..and I am so glad that PAM lead me here..Faye,YOU GO GIRL...SEXXXXY..it does feel good knowing we can go and buy all the sexy things, and your right, gotta keep the embers burning..I plan on walking with the family this afternoon too...got to do the family walk...gonna fit my squats in and 15 strength training..I bought myself a sexy nighty ,as hubby and I are taking a week-end to ourselves soon....sooooo ???..:) well , I'm off here to work on those buns...you ladies have a nice afternoon...love and BIG CYBER HUGS TO ALL...JOY

Hi Ladies!
Wow, this thread has been busy! I got all my 4 points yesterday - went on the exercise bike for 35 minutes and did 13.5 km, although I took it a little slower than usual as my knee was a bit sore (water retention I think). Faye: Congratulations on the sexy underwear! Whoo-hoo! So glad that you (and Jack) are reaping the benefits of all your hard work, you deserve it! Ritu: Well done for trying out the treadmill! Did you go to the gym, or do you have one at home? Joy: I'm so happy for you that you feel full of energy and vitality. One of the main reasons I started this quest to lose weight was because I was fed up of feeling so drained and lethargic. Now I have started exercising, I feel so much better in myself and it is definately true that the more exercise you do, the more energetic you feel. Missy: Did I hear you say that you are going to Ireland? Whereabouts? I am planning to move to Ireland - I'm looking for a job at the moment, and as soon as I get one, I'm off! I went to the West coast last year, around Galway - we are hoping to move there or the South coast around Cork. Tell me your plans - I LOVE Ireland, it is so beautiful and the people are really friendly - you'll love it! Pam, Julie, SandyB, Debbie-Lee (have I forgotton anyone?) - Keep at it girls - we can do this! Wednesday woe : I want a job in Ireland and there doesn't seem to be anything about at the moment.:stress: :stress: :stress: C U L8TER! Amanda xx |
Hi again,
Sandy I know what u mean about this being a sort of home - I feel incomplete unless I've posted. What is fiday.com I GOT MY 4 POINTS TODAY i.e. Wednesday and 4 FOR YESTERDAY i.e. Tuesday. Debbie Lee, join the gang, I fall backwards these days when I try and walk in heels. Faye, you have helped me for sure. I would never have attempted the treadmill today if it wasn't for all you lovely ladies inspiring me. Joy, whew! I feel out of breath just reading about your activities. Amanda, We went to Ireland on our honeymoon, well not exactly, we had actually gone to Italy and then we sort of jumped on a train and went off to Ireland. Those were the days! Maybe satin underwear will do the trick. I'd gone to see the physiotherapist to ask about which medicines I should carry for the pilgrimage on Saturday- apparently the climb is more than 30 km. Anyway she was trying to discourage me from going and then she sort of said why don't u try the treadmill here for 20 minutes - that will indicate the condition of your back. So I got onto the treadmill and I did it! I'm going back tomorrow for another 'conditioning' session I'm feeling so good having been on the treadmill today that I can't think of anything I'd like to complain about.. I'm falling asleep, it's 2 a.m. over here. Shall dream of doing a scherezade in scarlet satin underwear. Ritu |
Amanda - I love you! I'm going to Ireland November 10-17 and I will be arriving in and departing from Shannon. At this point, that is ALL I know and I am getting NERVOUS! My one sorta-bf and I are going together and he is a TERRIBLE planner. Always leaves that to me b/c "I'm good at that kinda thing." Men! But we have vouchers to stay in B&Bs...I know a few things I wanna do, Giant's Causeway, Dublin, Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty feast, Guiness tour and of course, the Blarney stone. But we aren't sure how to approach it all. Ideally, I'd like for us to do a big "loop" around Ireland. Perhaps start to the north and then hit Shannon from the south on the way back. But I'm not sure if this is too ambitious for a week. We are driving ourselves as well. You shouldn't have told me you are an Ireland expert, cause now I'll be grilling you! :) I do have a few questions though. I have an ATM card with "Star" and "Plus" on the back, can I use that in Ireland without any problems? And what type of cllothing should I be wearing in November? Should I get some Euro's before I come over? Or just ATM at the airport? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just totally overwhelmed by this all. If you have ANY suggestions for restaurants, B&Bs, sites to see, etc., I would LOVE if you could help me out in your spare time. Heck, I'd even be happy if you gave me a mini itinerary. I have a hard time judging how long it will take to get places since the roads are smaller and stuff.
WHEW! Sorry for all that, I'm just getting a little stressed about my lack of planning for this trip! Thanks in advance Amanda. Ritu - www.fitday.com is an online food diary. It's very helpful in tracking one's calories and exercise and even lets you monitor your progress. I really enjoy it! Well girls, I'm going off to the gym. I'm on track for all 3 goals today, so I should be coming in right OP. But I'll let you know! ;) Night all! |
Thanks for clearing up that fidday stuff for me Missy...lol sometimes my mind gets ahead of my fingers...lol Yes, Ritu i really like fit day as well... it figures out everything for u... u just type in what u eat and what u do for exercise. Its easy and its fun... besides its a nice way to track your eating and progress without having clutter(LOL) I also understand completely what u mean about not feeling complete til u post... i feel the same!
the kiddlets are doing their homework now, so once they are finished i will get in some more exercise. Maybe i will get a short bike ride in this evening... depends... when hubby is away on an overnight its hard to get anything in after the kids are home... I will check back later dearies.... Sandy :flow1:  |
We have been busy this afternoon!
Ritu: YOU GET 2: :bravo: :bravo: and you are doing a fabulous job! I am so proud of you! Amanda: YOU GET A: :bravo: for points and you too are doing great. Dh came home and the first thing he said was, "Do you have the sexy undies on?" I said, "No, but is this just as good?" and lifted up my shirt (no bra). Our home is definitely a little tilted for people who are AARP age! I know you are so excited Missy to be going to Ireland. How are things coming along with #1 btw? #2 is just gonna have to cry in his beer and too bad. Tomorrow is errand running day so I will busy a lot of the day. I will get first post in and then may not get your smileys out until afternoon. Faye :dizzy: |
Ok i'm writing now to crow a little about a tiny hurdle I'm in the process of overcoming...came home from the gym and had a healthful veggie burger and some WOW chips and then a skinny cow for dessert....I'm still under calories for the day but right now I'm in the process of trying not to eat fudge. My stomach actually hurts a little, so I know I'm not hungry, I just know I want that taste in my mouth. GRRRR...BUT, I am overcoming it. ANd if I do decide to have some fudge, I'll STILL be OP...but I AM GONNA BE GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sandy - no prob ;) Faye - The way it stands right now is that #1 and I are "seeing other people" and #2 and I are "broken up". So we'll see how this all goes. #1 and I are just taking our time and building things between us slowly...no rushing this time. I still feel really bad for hurting him the way that I did, but I can 't rush back into a relationship and I also can't be with someone out of p ity, I have to do what makes ME happy...and do the best I can to make others happy as well. :) |
THUSDAY: Time for Us Thursday. Do something for yourself today.
I GOT A: :bravo: for points Check in later Faye:) |
Good morning Ladies....I got all four points for yesterday...I have to make this one short,as I am off to go shopping with one of my daughters, and to run some errands...will holler later, everyone take care and have a super day....Joy:)
|
Hello everyone,
I got all my points yesterday and I feel great! Missy--I'm glad to hear about your trip. My dd who is fifteen has always wanted to see Ireland. Tell us all about it when you get back. Faye--Woww! just keep on movin! Everyone have a nice day Debbie-Lee |
Morning Ladies!
Points for yesterday....still holdin' strong at "4"!! I'm sorta looking forward to weighing tomorrow, but also sorta scared. I've been sooooo good all week, kept my carbs low, counted my calories, exercised...so what if I STILL didn't lose anything??? Oh well, can't live in fear! Ritu--I'm doing much better with the journal, thanks. I hope you have a wonderful pilgrimage. I'm sure the meaningfulness (meaningfullness? Is that a WORD???) will help make up for the discomfort of walking all that way. Maybe you can use this as an inspiration to keep walking long distances after you get back. Missy--I'm soooo jealous of you going to Ireland. My dh and I went to England last year and we had such a great time! We didn't have anything planned either. Just rented a car and drove all over the place, visiting anything that struck our fancy. I really think you'll enjoy yourself more that way than if you over-schedule and try to do too much. Just a note about B&B vouchers......UK B&B's are NOT like American B&Bs!!! Some of them are similar, basically a fance Inn. But most are actually just some bloke's apartment with an extra room. We stayed at all these "picturesque" places in the South, then when we got closer to London, we ended up staying in some old lady's condo. Her granddaughter had gone to college, and she was renting out the extra room! It was kinda like visiting a distant relative that you'd never seen....weird! However, the lady was sooo nice and funny! We just decided to enjoy the novelty of the whole thing. We weren't sure about the whole "Voucher" thing....it sounded dicey, just hand the hotel a coupon and your stay is paid for. But it really is the way they do things over there, and we never had a problem at any of the B&Bs we stayed at. I hope you have a FABULOUS time! I can't wait for the day we can go back across the pond! Faye--YOU CRACK ME UP!!!!!!! Reading about Jack and your underwear makes me laugh every time! Keep up the good work Babe! Well, I'm teaching my first ever private dance class today....so I kinda feel obligated to do my housework early. Everyone stay strong and motivated! I'll check back later, Julie |
Debbie Lee - Oh I'm sure you'll hear all the details about this trip. My "goal" is to make a little website with a day-by-day account of what we did with pictures, but who knows! Right now I am envisioning our trip to be a little like "National Lampoon's European Vacation." LOL, let's hope it's NOT like that.
Julie - Hmmm ok. I was worred about the B&B vouchers. But now I must admit that I am a bit worried about the B&B's themselves. Though I do know that all our rooms have private bathrooms, so that is my main concern. LOL I'm all for new experiences, but sharing bathroom time with the house owners...ummm...NO! :) Did you and your dh make your reservations before you went? Or as you went? That is something I'm kinda struggling with right now and not sure how to handle it. But I'm glad to hear that it's not AS scary as I'd imagined! :) Faye - All four for yesterday....even with some fudge. LOL |
I'm sitting here with bleach in my hair (can't go and get my hair cut today with gray roots!) so I have a couple minutes to post smileys before getting downstairs and getting on the glider and washing this junk out.
WOOHOO, YOU ARE REALLY ON THE SKINNY TRAIN! GO GIRLS GO! JOY, DEBBIEL, MISSY AND JULIE: you all get: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: FOR EACH OF YOU! Missy: I found these great slimfast snack bars that are like candy bars and they are yummy. Maybe I told you before, I can never remember whom I told what. If you haven't tried them, you should. They really satisfy the sweet tooth. Julie: You would be horrified if you were Samantha and could sit in my house and watch the two of us! We are just a nutty old couple that are still horny 31 years later! AND YOU KNOW WHAT? I wouldn't change it for anything. 90% of the country would kill for what I have. Well, I gotta run or my hair will fall out and I won't NEED a haircut. Later Faye:) |
Good Morning Ladies!! Faye... all 4 yesterday!! U keep on rockin and rollin... I am sure Jack just loves it!! ;) U know u are right... alot of people would kill for what u have... even i am jealous.. hahahaha... As i like to say , beauty is in the eye of the beholder... and i have great eyes! I will have to work on that with my dh... altho with his meds its not really his fault... he used to be such a horndog...lol Will have to just keep on trying!!
HEy JOy... i wanted to ask what kind of vitamins u take... i need to get some more and maybe i can find them around here... Hope everyone has an awesome day... my friend and i are going for a bike ride... its always more fun with someone else... most things in life are like that arent they... My ds Sawyer just loves school... its so damn cute to watch him get on the bus and wave goodbye... of course the first day i cried... not him tho... he was sooooooo ready!! Its a relief to know he likes it so much... I will check back later... everyone have a STUPENDOUS day!! Take care of U Sandy:flow1:  |
Good Thursday Morning,
First of all let me say that my thoughts and prayers are with those families and friends that lost loved ones on 9/11. God bless them and GOD BLESS AMERICA. pts for yesterday: 2 pts for program, 1 pt for exercise and 1 pt for water. Faye, 31 years of LOVE AND LUST!!! THAT IS WONDERFUL!!:D Missy, your trip to Ireland sounds fantastic, have loads of fun and stay safe. Lee, Joy and Mirabelly, you girls keep up the good work, let's get all four of those pts again today!! :strong: :cp:  :dancer: sw 356 cw 321.7 - loss of 34.3 lbs next weight in 9/18 next goal: lose 50 lbs final goal: 130 ish |
Missy,
About reserving rooms at B&Bs, we just called the night before we planned to stay somewhere......BUT we went in FEBRUARY! No problem finding vacancies. This time of year, I imagine you might have a bit more trouble. Go ahead and decide where you're staying the first night and make a reservation now. I don't know what time your plane gets there, but we got to London at 6:30 in the morning, their time. We thought we'd just get to the B&B around 4 pm.......we almost crashed the car, we were so tired! Jet lag is nothing to fool around with! Tell them that you will want to check in as soon as you get to town, even if it's early. That way you can take a nap, if you want. We slept in a parking lot because we didn't want to be "rude" and show up early! Also, make sure you CHECK THE DISTANCE on your map when going from town to town! We ended up wasting an entire day driving to the next B&B.......it didn't LOOK far on the map, but it does take longer to get places on those beautiful country roads. Don't try to do too much, and you'll have a much better time! Have fun! Julie |
Hi all
I am trying to get myself up to speed. Got 3 pts yday for OP and water. Still not well enough to exercise. Just too weak! The flu really zaps the life out of you. I'm going to try to do a mile today. I feel so blah from being sick. Missy.. I still havent heard from my friend in Ireland. Gonna shoot her another email. Hopefully I'll hear something before your plane boards. LOL To everyone else.. big hugs. |
Hahahah, thanks for all the wonderful advice girls! I will definitely take it all into consideration. My "travel companion" and I are meeting tonight to start the planning. It is considered the "low" season...(although Feburary! WHOA, it must have been cold)...but I hate to worry about not having a place to sleep. :)
|
Hi Girlies - I got 4 points yesterday - managed to get down to the gym.
Missy - did you get my PM about Ireland? Keep it up:strong: Amanda xx |
Amanda, I just got it! Thanks so much for the insights and help, I sent you a PM back! You are the best! Mwah!
|
PAM< AMANDA< SANDYB: YOU ALL GET: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: for points!
Debbie: You sweet thing! Hope you are starting to come around feeling better. YOU GET A: :cp: for points! I combined a lot today, but I wanted to be sure and get them done and I am pressed for time. Amanda: Sex isn't everything! We are cuddlers too and there is great satisfaction in that as well. Just give him a big ole kiss and hug and remind him you love him everyday. One of the things my husband has done every day he has been in our home (when he wasn't out to sea or later traveling for business) in 31 years no matter whether we were furious at each other or not is he kisses me goodnight. If I am asleep, he will kiss my head, shoulder, whatever he can reach, but I am a light sleeper and I feel that kiss EVERY night. Gotta run girls, time to go get the ole hunka hunka burnin love from work. (God, he would die if he knew I was talking about him! He hates it!) Faye:) |
Missy, Last February in Maine was 30 below zero for weeks.....when we got to London, there were daffodils blooming and the temps were in the 60's/70's! It was heaven!! And it only rained once. We soooo hated to get back to the grey skies and dirty snow. (snow is so pretty when it's white, but by Feb. it's got so much sand and soot in it that it's just yucky.)
Well, gotta go. Julie |
HELLO LADIES...well,today has been nowhere near what i planned for it to be...it started out just fine ..got the kids off to school, hubby off to work, and then went to pick my daughter up and go run some errands and shopping, but after I picked her up ,we had barely got down the road,AND MY CAR CAUGHT FIRE...luckily a gentleman traveling in a semi truck blew his horn, pulled over and come running with his fire extinguisher hollering at us to get out of the car, that fire was comming out of the front bottom of the car,and about that time smoke and flames were comming out the dash,BUT THANK GOD MY DAUGHTER AND I GOT OUT OKAY...needless to say though,we had to call the fire department..the car was a total loss...so i have spent the rest of this day calling insurance company, getting our rental car,and trying to calm down...they seem to think it may have been an electrical short so far..it happened so fast and there was so many nice and so very kind people that stopped and helped..this whole day I have felt so out of it..I think the shock of all of it...but I refuse to let this get the best of me...I will stay positive and make the best of this...and tommorow will be a brighter day!.....well ...until tommorow ladies...love and hugs to all...Joy
