Be kind to yourself, and take it slowly. There are lots of us here with medical problems, some really serious. I can't exercise at all! People generally say that while exercise is usually an important part of a weight loss plan, it's very hard to exercise enough that it causes the weight loss. If you have medical problems limiting your exercise then it's even more likely that it won't be enough to cause weight loss on its own, and that is absolutely fine. Start up gently with the exercise, do whatever makes you feel comfortable and something you enjoy, like dog walks. Stress eating is a common response to dealing with illness, lots of us are working on that.
