Looking for support with exchange diet

  • Hello everyone! I am a retired nurse who was once at goal and a Weight Watchers leader (1988-1991) Since then, I have packed on the pounds and, at the highest, was 150 lbs over my goal weight. I never caught on to the Points system so I am slowly losing weight on the exchange plan from the 80s. After a recent health scare, I have gotten serious on this weight loss and am down 47.4 lbs with a little over 100 to go. I would love to have support from anyone who is using an exchange plan similar (or exactly) like the Weight Watchers quick Start or Quick Success program from the 1980s.
    Anyone out there?
  • no one?
no one? I would love some support!
  • Sorry...I'm not on that plan, but hope someone shows up for you soon. I've seen WW folks asking for the older plans, so I know they're around...must be basking in the sun right now.

I am familiar with the exchange plan from WW. It is based off of the old diabetic exchange program that we taught patients when I did clinicals in college as a RD student. (After a year of clinicals I changed to nursing, because I didn't see a good future for RDs in the 1990s. I was right too!) I think you should check in with the WW thread or general support thread. (I'm always here to chat too!) I find just checking in with CURRENT support boards are helpful. Some forums here are hopping. Just not always your specific diet.
