Default The Dilemma

I just need to rant a bit.

I lost the majority of my weight by joining a boot camp here in town. It's basically circuit training and it's a 6 week, 20 lb program. If you don't meet the 20 lb goal or roll over into the next 20lb challenge, then you don't get your deposit back. Anyway, I'm on my 4th challenge and I'm not sure I'm going to meet the required 20 lb goal by the end of this 6 weeks. So far I have 3 more weeks to go. I'm probably not going to make it which means I will be out of the program.

I'm really scared to be on my own if that happens. The boot camp has an EXCELLENT support system, it has a family-like environment and better, I can go for an hour or two a day and not have to think about what to do. I just follow their instructions, then I leave.

But if I'm on my own, I'm doubting that I can do it. I won't have the family-like environment anymore. And I've made so many friends there - all of that will just be gone...

Membership there is too expensive and I can't afford it. I feel like my whole weight loss journey is going to come crashing to an end. I don't want to get all depressed and end up gaining my weight back.

It's like part of me knows that I can do it on my own, the other part has doubts. I have tried strictly on my own before and it doesn't work. This is the only thing that has ever worked for me.

Sigh... I just needed to rant about it.

Eventually, everyone reaches a point where weight loss gets harder. I don't think it makes sense to punish people for that, but maybe the motivation works for some people sometimes- clearly, it has worked for you, so congratulations! But this is just a tool. There are many, many weight loss tools. If this doesn't work anymore, experiment. And if something doesn't work, that's just new information that helps you figure out what to try next.

I think that weight loss is very, very hard, especially if you've always been overweight, but I think if you love yourself and make sure you have the appropriate support, it's doable.

I would determine what exactly worked with this and try hard to replicate it for yourself. Life changes and what I've learned on this journey is that you have to adapt and be flexible to change with it. Above all don't doubt yourself! YOU DID THIS! And you CAN keep doing it. But if you let one seed of doubt grow it turns into a giant monster. Don't let it! you found this you can find something else. Be creative and remember you made this happen using that program as a tool as mentioned by other poster.
