Default Extreme hunger carb/sugar craving during PMS

PMS combined with my body wanting to go back to it's "150 range"

I did binge a little yesterday (not too good foods, 1700-1900 calories , I normally eat 1400-1600 but I didn't exercise either). Thus far it's been 3 days in a row NO exercise and I did it again.. right now im at 900-1200 calories so I'll just eat my two pieces of fish and exercise for an hour and a half - 2 hours. I feel very stupid and indulgent.

Sometimes you'll go off plan. At times it'll even be out of your control for various reasons. The best thing to do is to accept that it'll happen and to just let it go when it does. It's not worth it to beat yourself up because you ate something delicious that you really wanted to eat. Just enjoy your meal/treat and move on, honestly. That'll actually help more than constantly denying yourself things.

Good advice Marnia. I find if you beat yourself up you are more likely to just stay off the wagon. Start thinking what's the point if I'm going to keep doing this? Instead of sometimes you fall off but i'm going to get back on and keep going strong.

My mom's diet mantra (which she passed down to me) is "One bad meal won't make you fat, just like one good meal won't make you skinny." We all know how long it takes, and how much effort it is to push the scale in one direction... A bit of indulgence here and there will not destroy all of your efforts as long as you can acknowledge when you've indulged and get back on track. Personally, I've had my moments where I've strayed, even days where I've "fallen off the wagon" per se, but I always come back. If you look at the sum of my choices over the past month, though, I've been making healthy choices MOST of the time, and that's made a world of difference. When you look at the big picture, those slip-ups will ultimately be outweighed by the healthy decisions you've made. It's this mentality that's kept me strong, and kept me from falling into a guilty mentality (which does no good and a lot of harm, in my opinion).

As for PMS and chocolate cravings... Oh, MAN, can I relate! I keep some high-quality dark chocolate on hand for those occasions. A little bit usually calms the cravings, and it doesn't destroy my progress.
