The Venus Factor - Anyone here tried it?

  • Hello everyone!

I'm Hannah and I'm an unproud overweight 36 year old female (BMI 29) who is trying to lose weight for my daughter's sake. I don't want her to be influenced by an overweight parent. I saw the review for The Venus Factor and I'm just wondering if any other ladies on here have tried it? The review has pretty much sold me and I'm on the edge of trying it out. Any thoughts on this product? If anyone here has had experience with it, it would be a great help.

    Thanks!

  • Too expensive IMO.

You can get Jillian Michael's DVD's for around $11 at Walmart and 2, 5p hand weights for around $10. She's HIGHLY effective.
  • If you have plenty of extra money get anything you want.

For losing weight there is only one specific thing you will have to do, no getting around it. Take in less calories than you need for maintain your weight.

As you lose you that amount will change also but will still have to be less. The more of a calorie deficit you have the faster you lose.

I do not follow any of those fad diets and consider most of them a racket or scam, most them a waste of money and time, but each to their own.

If you are wanting to change for your daughters sake it may be harder to do... but then again it may be eaiser. Any motivation helps to get going on weight loss. If you do it intelligently by eating the healthy foods you like, by not overly restricting yourself, (which would cause a backlash within you against being deprived and causing you to give up) by cutting out or way down on high calorie "junk" types of food or cutting them out, by doing some exercise which you enjoy (walking around the lake, bicycle rides.. whatever YOU like) etc you can lose and have a healthy lifestyle which you can keep doing forever. I see so many people jump into some fad type stuff, most give up early, others get it off... Then gain it all back shortly because they did it the fad way and did not learn how to eat correctly for life.

A VERY good friend of mine did exactly that, she had such will power following that diet. And she dropped the weight. Over a hundred lbs. I hate saying I knew what was going to happen when she got that off... and watched her put it all back on in six months. Plus she said she would never bother losing it again. I HATED THAT.

If you want that weight off and most important, kept off, you will have to change your way of living to an extent to accommodate that. It should be done by eating foods you like or love and eating less of them. Plus exercise.

Very good luck and happy new years to you

  • The venus factor is something I am sick of reading about. Its over hyped and those reviewing it you'll find are affiliates and are earning money from every copy they sell.

So if you like the sound of what the product does then go for it, but don't do so just based on the reviews.

If you want to change something for your daughter, let it be your sense of pride. A BMI of 29 is not something that should cause you to feel unproud, you have the power to do something about it but you will need your pride to make it happen. No daughter should grow up with a mommy that is not strong and proud.

You can even make it 0$ dollar with bodyweight exercises!

Most of that money should go into the healthy diet.

The toughest is starting, once you made that milestone,
keep it consistent. Those two kill me!

I think what one chooses to do with their money is their own business.
