Anyone use the MFP app? I'm frustrated with it because it's always nagging at me about my sugar intake. The problem is that even though I don't eat hardly any added sugar, I do try to eat the recommended 4-5 servings of fruit per day. MFP apparently thinks this is a bad thing. What gives?
I use MFP app for 3 months now. And can't say I've had that flagged up for me. A couple of times I may have had a -2 or -3 in the red. But to be over 2 or 3 in salt, sugar, etc really isn't a big deal for me. If 40 or high numbers then yes, I would have to re-evaluate my foods.
MauiKai I guess I agree with you, I've been frustrated by the nutrition breakout a few times, so I pretty much ignore it. I just use MFP to journal my intake and runkeeper to journal my exercise. I pretty much know when I'm eating healthy or not. I don't know enough about any other apps to say whether any other ones are better.
I ignore it. I go in the red for FIBER of all things all the time. Yeah, not gonna feel bad about that...
I wish there was a way to customize certain nutrients (eg, always have my protein at 100g, not just 30% of however many calories I eat that day...), but I haven't found one yet.
There is a setting to adjust those, I haven't used MFP in a long time but you can set your own personal goals. I'd adjust sugar (and fiber if you eat a ton like me ).
